CHAPTER 15- FIGHT

NANDINI'S POV

"Nandini what are you doing here?" asked Navya from behind startling me.

"Shh Navya" I whisper yelled but by the time I was talking to her they had already left

"What happened Nandini why are you looking so tensed " she asked worriedly

"They will kill Manik we need to save him " I mumbled

"What!! Who is going to kill Manik?" asked Navya in a shocked tone

"Look" I said and showed her the video

"Oh my god Nandini,  we need to inform this to him right now" said Navya

"I know but he won't believe us because right now he is the Manik who trusts Tanu blindly" I said

"Then let's go and inform this to Raj uncle and then let's see what we can do" said Navya to which I agreed and quickly called Raj uncle to the Mall

"Yes beta ji what happened why were you sounding so worried is everything fine?" asked Raj uncle as soon as he saw me

"Nothing is fine Raj uncle that Tanu is more evil than we thought just watch this video and you will get to know everything" I said 

"We can't let them succeed in their plan we have to tell this to Manik" said Raj uncle

"But uncle he will not believe us" I said frustruatedly

"I know but we atleast need to try to make him believe us, we don't have much time, tomorrow is the party and before that we need to show their true colors to everyone" said Raj uncle

"What if we go to the police and show them this video" said Navya

"This evidence is not that strong to prove them guilty we have to catch them red handed " said Raj uncle  while a frown laced on his forehead

"Hmm then we have no other option other than convincing Manik to trust us" said Navya while I looked at her worriedly

My heart was racing so fast right now as I was standing outside Manik's room. Raj uncle had somehow sent Tanu and Nyeonika aunty for shopping and Alia was out with Dhruv.

Raj uncle blinked his eyes and gave me an assuring smile and entered his room with me following him behind. As soon as I entered the room the earthy smell of his body engulfed me which took me back to our beautiful memories just then I saw him lying down on the bed while his eyes were closed , his plasters were taken off a few days back. I was seeing him after so many days , I couldn't control my emotions anymore a single drop of tear slid from my eyes. I fisted my hands tightly to keep myself together as my legs had turned  weak due to the continous clenching of my heart.

"Manik" called out Raj uncle and he slowly opened his eyes to just to meet with mine. A slight spark of familiarity passed through his eyes along with another emotion which I often saw when he used to confess his love for me but soon it became blank.

"Dad , Nandini what are you guys doing here?" He asked after getting into a sitting position.

"Manik we  want to tell you something important but please promise me you will handle the situation calmly" said Raj uncle

"Ok dad fine but what is it?" he asked in a puzzled tone.

"Look at this video once and you will get the answers to all your questions" said uncle and showed him the video.

I was really getting nervous for his reaction, I could constantly see his expression change from anger to shock and then finally to excitement.

"Thank you so much Dad for collecting such a vital evidence" he yelled in excitement leaving both of us shocked

"Manik what are you saying?" asked Raj uncle and at that moment I guess Manik realised what he had done, he looked at both of us nervously

"Dad I remember everything, I never lost my memory " said Manik making me shocked

He remembers everything,  he never forgot me , our love then why did he put up with this drama. Why did he hurt me so much

I looked at him accusingly

"Why did you play with our feelings, my feelings " I said angrily.

I had cried day and night for him, but this man who claims to love me played with my emotions.

"Nandini it's not like what you think" he said softly

"Are these injuries real, oh sorry wrong question was that accident  even real??" I asked coldly

"Nandini please listen to me once , I did this act for us , for our safe future " he said

"Yes and please explain how will this help us" I said sarcastically

"The accident was real, but I did this act beacuse I wanted to stay closer to Tanu without any suspicion,  I wanted to keep track on her every step. I wanted to know about her plan and catch her red handed  and somewhere I knew that this accident was her plan so I thought of not including you in this plan as your life could also be at risk" he said leaving me dumbfounded

"Please Nandini forgive me" he pleaded

"Manik I need sometime to digest all of this" I said with my trembling voice and ran outside the mansion and sat in my car and cried my heart out. All this time he knew that I was dying each second but still he was silent . I was boiling with anger but still somewhere I was happy that he remembers me.

Right now I wanted to spend sometime alone to calm myself so I decide to drive to my house .

I was in the parking lot of my building when I felt someone following me, I looked back but found no one.  I took quick steps towards the elevator as I was feeling nervous when I heard footsteps approaching me I looked back to find two men with there face covered with black masks running towards. On seeing them I ran as fast as I could but they still caught me by my arms and were dragging me towards a black van.

"Leave me you idiots " I screamed and they tightened their grip on my wrist

"Leave me , someone please help me" I screamed and wriggled but suddenly I felt them injecting something in my body and then soon everything blackened out before me.
