16. We will leave... together

The next 30 years, were a nightmare. Once I woke up from my deep sleep, I couldn't adjust to my new undead life of being a monster, just like him. Seras had stopped many attempts, when I tried to end it all, she tried to give me a reason to stay, but when she began to say that her master will return soon...I went back to kill myself. For thirty years, she kept an eye on me, while her powers took care of the whole mansion. She was now a true vampire. Integra wasn't too pleased, to have another vampire to take care of, but she wouldn't let me go either. I stopped counting at how many times I got slapped from her when she found out about my suicide attempts.

Seras and Integra became quite good friends, as I isolated myself from everyone else, sitting in his chair in the basement...reading one book after another.

But that one night, changed it all, as I heard loud gunshots...coming from Integra's room.

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

Seras was already there, slamming the door open "Are we under attack master?!" she yelled out. We all went quiet, as we saw who the intruder was "Such a violent welcome, what an honor. I thought you forgot all about me" he said, smirking at our master. Till he looked at me and Seras...as his gaze stayed on me I left the room immediately. Alucard had to explain himself, receiving a little of his master's blood, before coming after me.

At the minute he stood up, they heard it....

Bang!!!!! Seras feared the worst.

Alucard went into my room, as he saw me on the floor, bleeding from my shoulder. "Damn it!!!!" I yelled "I pulled the trigger too soon!" I threw my fists on to the floor, making the knuckles bleed. He caught them in his, pulling me close. "Let go of me!!!" I yelled, trying to get off him, but he refused, instead he tightened his grip on me. "Have you been suffering all this time?" his voice was soft and full of concern. I looked into his eyes, while tears of blood left my eyes "I hate it!!! I just want to die!!!!!...I...just want...to die." He leaned his head on top of mine, rubbing my back with his hand "I can't live this live...without you." I started to cry loud, feeling hopeless...being cured for all eternity. As something we came to my face...he cried as well "I am not leaving you, not even when you wish to die..." he said, kissing my lips with such passion, that my knees felt weak "...I will be on your side...forever."

He informed Integra about his decision, receiving a long minute of silence. "Are you sure about this?" she asked after a while." "I left her for 30 years on her own, I will not make her wait another thousand years for me..." he said in a firm voice "...that is what I want. The nightmares will end and all it remains...will be nothing but sweet dreams." She accepted at the end, getting everything ready for it.

At a tree, there were a group of men, holding shovels. The last remaining soldiers of the Wild Geese made a hole in the ground. Sir Integra and Seras stood a few feet away, waiting ...for us.

Alucard was wearing his usual red coat, while I was wearing a white dress; on his shoulder he carried his coffin. The words on it were removed, since he didn't want to rise again from his coffin. He asked his Master for his final wish, to shot us...in the heart...before closing the lid. Once Alucard lied his coffin down, he took my hand and placed me beside him. He gave her a nod, with tears in her eyes she aimed at me, Seras couldn't watch it and looked away.

Bang!!!

I was finally free, from this curse that has been hunting me. Integra needed a minute, before aiming to Alucard. He pulled me close to him, closing his eyes, whispering his last words to Integra.

"Thank you, my master."

Bang!!!

Silence filled the air, no one dared to speak, as only the wind and the sound of earth hitting the coffin bit us farewell. But they were sure...we were now in a better place...side by side.

Ever since that day, Seras and Integra brought us flowers to the grave. Alucards hat and guns were paced between the flowers, tied up with a ribbon of mine. Seras made sure that I get my roses, I loved so much. Integra decided to order a huge grave stone, with two figures holding each other on it, which was placed at the tree. On it it's says:

In loving memory of Alucard and N/A

May death they never part from each other.
