Chapter Thirty Six

Iris’s P.O.V
By the time we made it back to the Castle, both Draco and I made it back to the Common Room and I managed to get changed into something comfortable and warm as I was still cold from earlier and I sat next to Draco in the Common Room as I wore one of his sweaters, “are you getting any warmer?” he asked me, “a little” I told him as I laid my head on his shoulder before I got closer to the fireplace to get warm quicker and Draco sat down next to me on the floor, “I’m glad this is almost over. I want this to be done with.” I said to him, “I don’t blame you darling. I want this to be done with just as much as you do.” he said to me as he wrapped his arm around my shoulder and kissed the top of my head, “I love you.” I said to him, “I love you more.” he said back and the both of us just sat there in front of the Fireplace together as we continued to talk about everything for a while before we noticed that we were the only one’s left in the Common Room, “we should probably had to bed.” he said to me and I nodded a little, “ok.” I said before I let out a yawn, “I’ll see you in the morning, alright love” he said to me and I nodded before kissing his cheek, “goodnight.” I said to him, “goodnight, I love you.” he said to me and I smiled a little, “I love you too.” I said to him before I finally walked into my dorm and eventually got into bed that night and fell asleep. It was another day and the weather was slowly getting warmer and after classes were over, I began to think about what the Third and Final Task was going to be like as I sat outside before I noticed Harry walk up to me, “have you come to blame me some more about what happened?” I said to him, “no, I came to apologize for how I acted. I’m sorry for blaming you for it. I realize now that you wouldn’t do something like that to either of us.” he said to me and I looked at him and I took a moment before hugging him, “I accept your apology. I get it if you were just upset about it. You weren’t the only one.” I said to him before we moved away from the hug, “by the way, I’ve been meaning to ask you, have you been having any dreams lately?” he asked me, “yeah, I’m guessing you’ve been having the same one. The one with Voldemort and Pettigrew and the man.” I said to him and he nodded, “I think I might know who the man is. His name is Barty Crouch Jr” he told me, “how do you know this?” I asked him, “Dumbledore. I went to talk to him the other night and he told me what had happened to him. He’s Mr. Crouch’s son.” he told me, “I heard he was killed.” I mentioned to him, “in the dream, have you seen a cemetery at all?” he asked me and I nodded, “it’s the first thing I see before seeing the three of them and everytime they end up using the killing curse, I suddenly wake up.” I told him, “Me too. I usually wake up in a sweat.” he told me before the both of us walked back inside and the both of us continued talking about the dream we’ve been having recently before we had gone our separate ways before I bumped into Draco, “where have you been?” he asked me, “I was just with Harry. He apologized for what happened when this all first started.” I told him, “about time.” he said and I sighed a little before I spent the rest of my day with Draco before going to bed that night.

It was finally the day of the Third and Final Task and I was completely nervous about it all and both Harry and I walked out with the others to see and hear that everyone was already cheering and clapping for who they rooted for and Dumbledore eventually spoke up to everyone causing them all to sit down, “Earlier today Professor Moody placed the TriWizard Cup deep within the Maze, only he knows it’s exact position. Now as Mr. Diggory and Mr. and Miss Potter who tied for first and second position, they will be the first to enter the maze followed by Mr. Krum and Miss. Delacour. First person to touch the cup will be the winner” Dumbledore said to everyone as they cheered, “now I’ve instructed the staff to patrol the perimeter so that at any point a contestant wishes to withdraw from Task, he or she need only send up red sparks with their wand. Contestants gather around.” Dumbledore said before we did as he said before he continued talking to the five of us, “in the Maze, you’ll find no dragons or creatures of the deep, instead you’ll face something even more challenging. You see, people change in the Maze, oh find the cup if you can youtube very wary, you could just lose yourselves along the way.” he said to us before both Harry and I stood next to each other next to one of the entry points to the Maze before I found Draco causing me to smile a little before Dumbledore spoke up again, “on the count of three, One-” Dumbledore said and before he could finish, the Cannon went off before we had walked into the Maze, “let’s not be reckless about this alright.” I said to him, “agreed.” he said to me as we made our way through the maze before we heard a scream, “who do you think that was?” Harry asked me, “I think it was Fluer.” I said to him before we continued to make our way through the maze before we noticed Fluer being dragged into the Hedge before Harry sent a red spark from his wand, “we should keep going. They'll find her eventually.” I said to Harry, “alright, let’s go.” he said to me before we continued to make our way through after the wind picked up before we managed to escape it before we heard something before seeing the Cup at the other end and the both of us just looked at each other and just as we were making our way to it, we heard Viktor causing us to stop and just as he attacked us, we heard Cedric there as well before he managed to hit Viktor before he landed on the ground before Harry stopped Cedric from doing anything else to Viktor before we managed to make our way to the Cup before Cedric and I trapped on the vines that came out from the Hedges and the both of us tried getting out of it as Cedric tried getting Harry to help us before Harry finally did and did something about it before helping Cedric and I up, “thanks.” Cedric said to him, “no problem” Harry said to him, “took your bloody time.” I said to him as I was breathing heavily, “you know, for a moment there I thought you were going to let it get us.” Cedric told him, “for a moment, so did I.” Harry said, “some game huh.” Cedric said, “it’s bloody murder.” I said to him before the wind started picking up again before we ran from it before we made it to the cup, “go on take it. You saved us, take it” Cedric said to Harry, “together.” Harry said before the three of us grabbed onto it.

As soon as we grabbed onto the cup, it transported us somewhere else and I looked around to see where we were before it started looking familiar to me, “Uh, Harry.” I said to him before looking at him as the both of us got up, “are you two ok?” Cedric asked us, “just dandy.” I said to him, “yeah, you?” Harry said to him before he got up as well, “where are we?” Cedric asked us, “I’ve been here before.” He said, “me too.” I mentioned, “Harry, Iris, the cup is a Portkey.” Cedric said to us, “I think we should leave. I have a bad feeling about this.” I said to them, “we’ve been here before. In a dream.” Harry said before we noticed the name Tom Riddle, “do you think it might be the one we met before when we destroyed the Diary?” I asked Harry, “I have a bad feeling that it might be. Cedric, we have to get back to the cup.” Harry said, “now.” I said to him, “what are you talking about?” he asked us, “because I think this isn’t going to end the way we want it to.” I said before we noticed someone before I noticed that it was Peter Pettigrew before my scar started hurting, “Harry, Iris what is it?” Cedric asked us, “get back to the Cup.” Harry said to him, “please Cedric, just go.” I said to him as the pain in my neck continued, “who are you? What do you want?” Cedric questioned as he pointed his wand at Pettigrew and the thing he was holding, “kill the spare.” it said before Pettigrew killed Cedric, “no, Cedric.” Harry said and I panicked a little before Harry and I were forced to get up before we were pinned to the Gravestone behind us, “do it, now.” it said to Pettigrew before he dropped it into the Cauldron, “Bone of the father unwillingly given. Flesh of the servant willingly sacrificed. And the blood of the enemy, forcibly taken.” Pttigrw said as he managed to cut both Harry and I’s arms before Pettigrew continued, “the Dark Lord shall rise again.” he said causing Harry and I to scream a little before something began to happen before the thing Pettigrew dropped in the Cauldron began to turn into something before it touched the ground and my eyes went wide before realizing that it was Voldemort.
