Chapter seventeen
Jared now has a gun and begin shooting, at Ben as he ran trying to dodge the bullets. Finally he got to
the kitchen where Lauren laid dead on the gurney and right then ben began trying to use a plan to get
out alive and still catch this bastard. As he hid underneath the gurney where blood was dripping into a
bucket he noticed Janet under the table as well so he move to not jeopardize her hiding position. Ben
ran in kitchen while running past the stove turned gas on to make some fireworks just in case. Jared
yelled out this isn't smart how did you think this was going to play out. Ben is now hiding behind the
sofa and could hear footsteps of Jared getting closer. Come out come out wherever you are I know you
are still here Jared yelled out as he was getting closer and closer to the edge of the couch and couldn't
contain hisself, he shouted out you knew I was coming for you when you took half of my face and put
hearts on my ex-wife's face scaring her for life. Jared swung the gun around the sofa where he heard
Ben Wilson's voice coming from, but to his surprise no one was there. Just as he went to turn around
and check his back Ben Wilson jumped on his back and tried interlocking his arm underneath his chin as
if to try to choke jared out and put him to sleep. Just then Jared remembered a wrestling move he
watched on television as a child where the wrestler fell back and the other one let's go. And in a instant
Jared falls back onto a glass coffee table in the living room, the wrestling move worked but at the
expense of Jared losing the gun again and having to square up fist-to-fist with Ben Wilson again. They
both were reaching for their necks and backs, finally been Wilson throws the first punch hitting jared in
the nose causing Jared to almost fall back catching himself and diving towards Ben Wilson using the
momentum from the punch to force ben Wilson to the ground. Jared began to straddle ben and start
punching him in the face and not letting him move anywhere. Finally after six clean punches to the face
Ben Wilson had enough and bucked up and over and pushed jared off and began frantically looking for
his issued pistol that he lost in the struggle twice. Jared stood up like he was the guy in the Friday the
13th movies, as he stood up he notice ben looking for a service pistol and he quickly ran towards him
and elbowed ben in the back and then began kicking and stomping Ben Wilson between his bedroom
and the kitchen as Ben was getting stomped he noticed that the gun was underneath the gurney were
Lauren laid dead leaking blood and Janet sat hidden. Jared kicked Ben in the face so hard he rolled
backwards "sniff sniff" Ben Wilson could smell gas emitting from the stove which means that the bunker
was filling up and was ready to be blown up. Ben Wilson not seeing his service pistol in site figured he
try to wrestle jared to the ground and try to make it to the elevator and get out, cause obviously it
wasn't working bringing jared in so I'll blow his house sky high with him in it. Ben jumped out from
behind the couch plastered ha , jumping almost doing a spear and tackling him on the cement floor
knocking the breath out of him. As Jared laid their and grasping for air ben ran toward Janet to try to
help her out from underneath the gurney, as he reached for her hand Janet drew his issued pistol at him
pointing it directly at his head not allowing detective been Wilson to help her get away from the house.
Just then he noticed Jared stirring on the floor and continuing until he was to his feet. Ben made a run
for the elevator door saying forget Janet. He stepped in to the elevator furiously pushing the door shut
so the button would appear .Finally the door shut behind him and he push the button and started
ascending to the top of the shaft . At the top of the shaft Ben said a prayer for Janet and ran to the car
grab the torch and threw it in the elevator and stood there and watched as it descended into the shaft.
Moments later you heard a boom and seen flames emitting from the house and dark clouds of smoke
filled the air almost instantly.
Just as the smoke was getting heavier Royce pulled up shaking his head didn't I say not to do
anything rash. When I went in he got the drop on me and we struggled several times and he had gotten
my service pistol. We wrestled again and I lost the service pistol again and the missing person who he
kept hostage Janet field pointed it on me and was focused to shoot me in the eyes.
"Boom" the torch made it down the shaft as soon as the flames touch the fumes it was a chain
reaction, sending jared and Janet against the walls. It flung the body of Lauren and the gurney which
shielded Them from the rest of the blast. Jared was passed out as the house was becoming engulfed in
flames. Just then Janet grabbed him by the shoulder and began shaking him to wake him from being
knocked out from the blast. Jared refused to come to laying there limp as Lauren did on the gurney.
Janet stuck the issued pistol in her bra and began dragging Jared out of the way of harm so she
thought. And as she was dragging Jared a piece of cloth that was caught on fire fell from the ceiling on to
Jared's face and before Janet noticed from being too busy dragging his body. Jared felt the burning
sensation and begin to let out a loud scream, Jared noticed now that Janet was helping him make his
escape even after holding her captive. Having no time to think Jared figured ben was still upstairs
watching the property be burned so he decided to use the emergency escape hatch which led to the
sewers and once it opens the door collapses and disappears. So upon moving toward the exit jared grab
Janet into his arms and runs towards the exit moving the booby traps and closing off the only way back
into the burning building. After walking several miles away from the flames started by Ben, Jared sat on
the side panel in the sewers and demanded been Wilsons gun. Janet pulled it from her bra and handed it
right over, Jerry proceeded to putting it in his waistband and started axing Janet questions about why
she save them and why she held a gun on an officer instead of leaving and going with him........
