Tyler

August

As soon as Kian and Waverly parted ways, I was left alone walking down the hallway. I put in my earbuds and started listening to music as I walked, trying to drown out the noise around me. Suddenly, I felt a sharp tug on my backpack, and I turned around to see a group of three guys standing behind me.

"What's up, Husky?" one of them sneered, grabbing my backpack again.

I tried to pull away, but one of them stepped in front of me, blocking my path.

"Where do you think you're going, mutt?" he said, grinning wickedly.

I felt my heart start to race as I realized what was happening. These guys were bullies, and they were looking for someone to pick on. And unfortunately, it looked like they had chosen me."Leave me alone," I muttered, trying to push past them. But they just laughed and shoved me back.

"Not so fast, pup," one of them said. "We're not done with you yet."

I felt a wave of fear wash over me as I realized I was trapped. These guys were bigger and stronger than me, and there was no way I could fight them off. I was completely helpless.Suddenly, I heard a voice from behind me.

"Hey, what's going on here?"

I turned around to see Kyle standing a few feet away, his arms crossed over his chest. He looked angry, and I could tell he was ready to fight if he needed to.

The bullies hesitated for a moment, sizing him up. But then one of them stepped forward, cracking his knuckles.

"Mind your own business, pretty boy," he said, sneering.

But Kyle didn't back down. Instead, he stepped forward, his eyes locked on the bully."I think it is my business," he said firmly. "Now leave him alone."

There was a tense moment as the two of them stared each other down. But then the bully suddenly backed off, muttering something under his breath.

"Fine," he said. "We'll leave him alone."

And with that, they turned and walked away, disappearing down the hallway.I let out a sigh of relief, feeling the tension drain from my body.

"Thanks," I said, turning to Kyle. "I don't know what I would have done without you."Kyle just shrugged, a small smile on his face.

"Don't mention it," he said. "I've got your back, Tyler."

We stood there for a moment, looking at each other. And then Kyle suddenly reached out and took my hand.

"Come on," he said. "Let's go join the study group."

And with that, we turned and walked down the hallway together, hand in hand. I felt a sense of warmth spread through me as I realized that I had found someone who truly cared about me. Someone who would stand up for me, no matter what.

For the first time in a long time, I felt like I had a real friend. And it was a feeling that I never wanted to let go of.

As we finished our last class for the day, Kyle and I made our way back to my dorm. I was excited to show him my room and give him a glimpse into my life.

As we entered my room, Kyle looked around in amazement. "Wow, Tyler, your room is so cool and unique!" he exclaimed, taking in the colorful tapestries and posters adorning the walls.I grinned with pride. "Thanks, I like to make it my own little sanctuary. It helps me relax and feel at home," I said, sitting down on my bed.

Kyle joined me, sitting close enough that our arms were touching. I couldn't help but feel a flutter in my chest at his proximity.

"So, what do you want to do now?" I asked, turning to face him.

Kyle shrugged. "I don't know, maybe we could watch a movie or something?"

"Sure, that sounds like a great idea," I replied, grabbing my laptop and searching for a movie to watch.

As we settled in to watch the movie, I couldn't help but feel grateful for this moment with Kyle. He had made me feel accepted and happy, and I was looking forward to spending more time with him.

As the movie progressed, we occasionally exchanged glances and small smiles. I felt content and comfortable sitting next to Kyle, and I knew that I wanted to spend more time with him. After the movie ended, we both sat there for a moment, just enjoying each other's company. Finally, Kyle stood up and stretched.

"Well, as much as I'd love to stay here and chat all night, I think it's getting pretty late," he said with a smile.

I checked my phone and realized that he was right - it was already past midnight. I stood up and walked Kyle to the door, feeling a little disappointed that our time together was coming to an end.

"Thanks for hanging out with me tonight," Kyle said, turning to face me.

"Of course, I had a great time," I replied, hoping that he could see the sincerity in my voice.

Kyle leaned in and gave me a quick hug before turning to leave. As he walked down the hallway, I couldn't help but watch him go, feeling a little giddy inside.

I closed the door to my dorm room and leaned against it, taking a deep breath. I couldn't believe how well the night had gone. Kyle had made me feel so comfortable and happy, and I couldn't wait to see him again.

With a smile on my face, I climbed into bed and drifted off to sleep, dreaming about what our next date might be like.
