All of Jericho gathered around in the cemetery
for Mayor Walker's funeral. Rain was pouring
down over everyone, and several people were
holding black umbrellas.

"I enjoy funerals."

Wednesday stood amongst the crowd surveying
everyone at the funeral. Her eyes flickering to
Y/n a couple...dozen times. She wore her arm brace. Her arm was crossed over her chest and she also wore a black suit and she didn't have an umbrella.

"I've been crashing them since I was old
enough to read the obituary section."

Everyone stood around Mayor Walker's coffin that was covered in flowers as a priest read from the Bible.

"Mayor Walker was murdered, and I
know the killer is here, standing
innocently among us, plotting their next
move.. And watching everything I do."

Wednesday looked to Lucas and Mayor Walker's wife.

Wednesday then looked to Xavier, who was standing next to Y/n.

"I know I'm close to the truth. I have all the pieces of the jigsaw. I just need to
slot them into place."

Bianca stood across from Lucas and glanced at
him, and he glanced back at her as his mother
was embraced by Sheriff Galpin.

Lucas walked up to Y/n. "Hey, I'm sorry for all the fights and stuff. I want to declare peace and see how you are. I mean, you did get hit by the same car. You flew in the air like a piece of paper and broke 2 bones. One of them being the hardest bone to break. And it heals slowly."

"I'm fine. Thanks you for asking. I'm..sorry about your dad. He was a good man."

Lucas looked back at the coffin. "Thanks for caring as well."

He stuck out his right hand. "Friends?"

Y/n stared down at his hand before glancing at her own broken arm.

"Oh, right." He then extended his left arm. "Ok, sorry. Friends?" He asked again.

Y/n looked at him up and down before extending her own uninjured hand out and shaking it.

"Friends." She agreed.

Wednesday glared at her. Did she just make friends with their nemesis? And did he just tease her about her arm by extending his arm. Which is the one arm she can't shake because it wouldn't work. No..that wasn't a tease right? She didn't have to put him in his place at a funeral..right..?

Ajax pulled Enid close to him, and Thing crawled out of Y/n's jacket. He rested on her shoulder. Thing tapped something and Y/n shook her head no. Which made Wednesday tighten her grip on her umbrella because she saw what the question was.

Thing asked about the note she left Wednesday. And about how if she can forgive her. The last question was stupid, it was just about something with Sai.

"I must look past the tears and masks of
grief. Until now, I may have been outmatched and outmaneuvered, but the final gambit has yet to be played."

The crowd started to disperse, and everyone
began to go home, but Wednesday didn't move. And neither did Y/n.

"The killer will make a mistake. And I'll
be ready."

Wednesday looked to her right and her eyes
widened when she saw a tall figure dressed in
black with a black fedora on their head. The
figure noticed that she saw them, and ran off, Wednesday quickly following.

Y/n noticed and ran after her, limping every now and then.

The figure ran into the woods and Wednesday
chased after them, stepping in a watery puddle
as she ran. She kept her eyes trained on the figure and watched them slink behind a tree.

Wednesday followed, but once she reached the
tree she slowed to a stop. The figure had
disappeared.

Wednesday remained on high alert and looked
around for any sign of the mysterious person.

When her back was turned, the figure dropped
down behind her. Wednesday was quick to
react and pulled a hidden blade from her
umbrella and went to take a stab at the figure.

The figure grabbed the blade in between his
hands, and sent blue electricity down the sword
to Wednesday's hand, shocking her. She
dropped the blade and looked at the figure in
confusion.

Before the blade hit the ground, Y/n snatched it out the air and pointed it at the strange figure.
Y/n pushed Wednesday back and stood in front of her. Y/n's eyes glowing a purple and red

The figure stepped back in shock.

"Still as sharp as ever, my pig-tailed protégé." A voice spoke.

Wednesday smiled, recognizing the voice. "Uncle Fester."

Y/n looked back and Wednesday and sent her a confused look. The figure saw this and punched her injured arm to make the blade fall out of the good arm. She put her good hand on her injured hand as she fell to the ground in pain.

The figure removed his hat to reveal a pale, bald
man with dark circles around his eyes. He
smiled at Wednesday and let out a small chortle
and nodded.

"What weak thing is this that was so easily knocked to the ground?"

"I have a broken arm! I think you broke it more!"

"Don't mind her. This is Y/n. Y/n Sinclair."

"Oops. Sorry about your arm. How'd that happen?"

"Hit by a car. Broke my femur to." She explained.

Fester looked down at her leg. "But yet you can walk. How? The femur is the hardest bone to break in the human body. And also takes the longest to heal."

"I'm not human."

Fester nodded. "Then what are you? Werewolf? Vampire?"

"None. I'm something. But I don't know the name."

Wednesday went to help her up but Y/n smacked her hand. "I hope you liked my note Wednesday!" Y/n yelled running off, still grabbing at her arm.
