"Kallus you're about to witness the failure of your precious Rebel friends. Then you'll be executed by an Imperial firing squad. What perplexes me is why you decided to become their spy despite knowing they'd fail." Thrawn expressed disappointment on his face

Governor Pryce gritted her teeth in anger as Kallus remained silent.

"Say something you traitor!" Pryce screamed

Thrawn raised his eyebrow slightly in alarm but his expression became neutral. Kallus started chuckling to himself.

"What amuses you Kallus?" Thrawn asked

"My friends aren't just Rebels. They're Defenders who gain strength from the weak. That's how they defend and its why they Rebel. I've never encountered a group like this in all my years. They make the impossible possible and that will be your downfall Grand Admiral." Kallus proclaimed

"We'll see if you continue to feel that way when you witness the failure of the Rebel Defenders." Thrawn mocked

The Star Destroyer rattled and shook and Thrawn looked out the viewport. He witnessed a ferocious storm rage outside and he realized the power of this storm mirrored the one that occurred a few days ago around Midland Circle. Thrawn started giving orders to his navigational team to take evasive actions.

"What about the Rebels? We're so close to destroying them! We can't just let them get away!" Governor Pryce shouted

"We don't have a choice! Make sure Kallus is transferred to a holding cell." Thrawn ordered

Governor Pryce turned around and saw both Death Troopers knocked unconcious and Kallus's handcuffs laying on the ground.

"Continue phase two of the invasion. A ground assault." Thrawn ordered

One of the Interdictor airships pulled out of formation from the rest of the fleet.

"Konstantine what are you doing! We need to initiate phase 2 of the invasion immediately. You cannot break formation!"

"I've suffered under your command for too long Grand Admiral. I've been an Admiral for 10 years and yet you treat me like a low level Junior Officer. Well no more of this allowing Rebel insurgents to gain victory for a larger plan. I will not allow any more Rebel victories to happen under my nose. I will destroy this Rebel airship and regain my former glory." Konstantine ranted

Thrawn could only stare in shock and dismay as Konstantine's interdictor airship was destroyed by the Phantom II. Thrawn knew instantly the force sensitive Ezra Bridger was being guided by the mystical power the Iron Fist used to fight opponents in combat. It reminded him of things he saw during his days in the Chiss Ascendancy before joining the Global Empire. Thrawn frowned and regained his composure giving orders to continue the ground assault.

"I BRING DEATH! I am the Light! I am the Dark! I am the Bendu! Balance is what I bring and all who seek to disrupt that balance shall perish! Whether it is the Hand, the Empire, the Rebellion or the Defenders!" Bendu shouted

Lightning flashed in the sky and it was the same golden color of the spontaneous storm that plagued downtown New York/Lothal a few days ago. Aida realized her wounds from the crash weren't healing.

"You are in my domain now Aida. I've stripped you of your powers. You've been granted what the Force knows is your deepest desire...the ability to be human. Like all humans you have come face to face with mortality. Such is the fate for humans and all other sentient beings." The Bendu explained to Aida

Aida saw her wounds in a different light after hearing these words. She could feel her consciousness fading and her her body growing weaker. Unlike her defeat by Shield almost 20 years ago where her consciousness was fueled by a connection to supernatural energy. Her conciousness now was housed in her human brain. Once that shut off then her existence would be over.
