--- Third Person's POV ---

Veldora stared at the screen that viewed Rimuru's vision inside the darkness of Rimuru's stomach.

He watches his slime partner kill the Dire wolves' alpha and ate the monster. Rimuru transformed into the dire wolf via Mimicry, and uses Coercion to try and scare them off.

As much to his surprise, "We will submit to you!" The pack of wolves stated thus.

Veldora was uneasy.

The scars of betrayal from 300 years ago still reminded him to this day. He can't help but frown at the fact that Rimuru gained so many followers so easily.

What was the difference? Veldora asked himself. Would they betray Rimuru in the future too? Would they simply discard him?

The answer would be a straight "No".

Rimuru named them, so Veldora doesn't have to be worried at all. As much to his dismay noting the fact that the slime uses his Magicules to name them.

"You seriously are an idiot, I told you it cost Magicules. At least ask Great Sage what'll happen if you named too much."

"Hey! You didn't tell me anything either before it's too late!!!"

Veldora bantered a bit with Rimuru while Rimuru enters his sleeping state. He slept for three days to regain the Magicules he lost.

Rimuru was still conscious so Veldora can converse with him easily, but Veldora still can't help but worry.

What if one-day Rimuru had a human subordinate? Humans with just a few powers like "Cultivation" already answer his questions about what mortal arrogation really is, what about Majins who possessed a magic core then?

What about Sages/Enlightened Humans? What about Saints/Devine humans? What about the heroes?

With Rimuru's soft-hearted nature, Veldora couldn't help but worry.

And he was right...

"Rule number 1. Don't attack humans!"

That night, he pulled over to Rimuru for a talk.

『Rimuru. That first rule you told everyone, change it this instance.』

"Huh?"

『Just do it.』

"No, but, I-"

『Do it, Rimuru.』

That line was delivered with a cold stern tone. Rimuru felt somewhat shocked at the slightly different way of speaking of the baritone voice dragon.

"O-okay..."

Rimuru then told Rigurd the goblin chief that he would like to change the rule and wants him to deliver it to the others.

The first rule was changed to "Only attack humans in self-defense" as the dragon suggested.

Rimuru was a bit surprised, but no real harm was done, so he decided to ask the dragon for it.

"You really are still wary of humans huh?"

To which the dragon responded:

『I am wary of everyone, the only difference is that lower monsters who had only "a little more" connection to Magicules are those who can't lie. They will obey their masters even if they were commanded to die. Humans on the other hand... you know exactly what they are, Rimuru.』

"So the only reason you're fine with the goblins and dire wolves was because I named these guys?"

『Exactly.』
