So begins the long storyline of the BU, something fans are still creating theories about still to this day. It started when the highlight reel for Grace was released, how she played each female character the boys interacted with then towards the end how she turned into the 'Dangerous Woman' from Wings. The HYYH era was going to be Grace's characters' story and the accumulation of how she guided things from behind, using Jin as her puppet. However, outside of this, LOVE YOURSELF: HER was going to be the beginning of a very long road for Grace and BTS. They had their own songs once again though they wouldn't be introduced until the second album but it was a very long process and Grace found herself struggling in this era.

She had released her mixtape just before the album had been announced and she had poured everything she could into that, now she felt empty and unsure of herself. The songs she had written had allowed her to explore who she was as well as the character that had been created - now they were bringing that character back and Grace was completely unsure whether she could do the job properly. It was the first time in a while that she didn't participate in any writing for the first album of the series, leaving it to the rest of the boys.

MIC DROP helped her pick herself up with the Steve Aoki remix allowing her a central position in the dancing, even if she only had a chorus and a few lines to contribute. DNA was also the same, allowing to explore dancing more rather than singing.

Clothes were reflected on the lightheartedness of the album and the clothes only changed for MIC DROP with black and red coming back for an appearance. Her hair had returned to its natural brown and her make-up was once again kept toned down. Her love for dancing in high heels was now seen more from this era, with many locals being impressed that she could do the choreography for MIC DROP in the heels she had picked without falling over.

It was an album of love and feeling light, though in reality Grace felt the opposite of that. The attention of being the only female of BTS was starting to get to her and the limelight in America directly on her at times was making the polished image looked tarnished. Behind the scenes, she was honestly wondering if she wanted to continue this but kept going for her love of the boys, for ARMY and for the love of creating new music. It would be a sentiment the boys would follow not long afterwards.

FACTS:

Grace is not featured on dimple though she recorded the guide for it as she felt it better to come from the boys alone rather than her. She also recorded the guide for Pied Piper, her vocals can still be found in the background even with the lines she was given. Her teasing tone complimented the theme.

'Her' is often referred to Grace, though it's not often said or revealed.

BANGTAN BOMBS of MIC DROP see her watching the explosions with delight, laughing at Jin and Hobi being scared and backing Jungkook up when Yoongi was trying to wrestle him.

During a V-LIVE with Namjoon, Grace revealed how hard she tries to keep a straight face during the performances of Go Go because the dance moves are hilarious. There was once her face slipped when Yoongi slapped a heart onto the back pocket of his pants, fan cams recording the moment she started giggling silently.
