BTS MOMENTS: OT8 - MELON 2019

The outfit had been picked before the choreography had been set in stone and the moment the team had seen what Grace would be wearing for the Dionysus performance, they were worried. A corset top with added straps, looking a size smaller than required, and then the shoes which were platform ankle boots of crystal design but on thin four-inch heels which look like they could break.

Grace practiced in the shoes as much as she could without ruining them before the night but even those practices had been watched with worry.

While the boys did their individual mini-performances, Grace was getting changed into her Dionysus outfit as the make up artists touched up the makeup and her hair was styled differently so it wouldn't get too much in the way. The moment the corset top was put on, it was like all the air had gone out of her lungs and as much as she took some deep breaths, she just couldn't get the air.

"Are you going to be okay in this?" Sejin loudly asked over the noise of the crowd.

"I'm going to have to be," she said as she slipped her feet in the shoes which also felt a size smaller. All in all, it was a gorgeous outfit but it was killing her.

Of course, the performance went perfectly and no one could tell that the corset was digging into her ribs and that a couple of her toes were being crushed. No one could tell she couldn't get her breath and that she was trying to save her lungs for her part at the end when it was the most fast-paced.

The moment the cameras were away and off, Grace was up and off the chairs as fast as she could. The jacket was off and handed to a member of their team who was there ready as was the rest of the stylists, ready to get the corset and shoes off and into something more manageable.

"What's wrong?" came the rest of the boys as they moved back stage to follow their female member.

"We need to get her out of these clothes," one stylist said as she closed the curtain to the small partition.

Only their manager was allowed inside.

"Eight minutes!" the call came for them to go back to their seated area for the rest of the awards.

They had to peel the corset top off, all stylists wincing at the bloody marks left behind where the material and bones and the like had cut into Grace's skin. Her feet weren't much better either.

"Shit!" she cried out as her feet touched the cool floor.

They cleaned up as quickly as they could and slid the jacket back on, sowing it at the top so no one could tell there was bare skin underneath and they used tape at the top of her chest to hold it down. A pair of comfortable heels were slid onto her feet but even they hurt.

"Everything okay?" the questions came as Grace came back out, just in time for someone to yell 5 minutes.

The boys could see the red marks where the jacket was cut out and instantly went into panic mode, firing question after question as they headed back to their seats. "I'm fine, just let's get through this and go home," Grace sighed as she sat down with a wince, patting Jungkook's leg when she noticed he was looking really worried.

Every award after was like walking on fire and Grace was more than happy to reach their dressing area, falling onto the couch with a long sigh.

"Let's see what's wrong," Hobi said as he reached down, carefully pulling the heels off and wincing at the state of Grace's feet. "Oh noona."

"Don't take that off, I'm nude under here," she said as she gently slapped Jimin's hands away. "Let Jin-hyung help then," he quickly pulled away and moved behind Taehyung.

After a few minutes with the boys getting changed themselves, Grace came out of the bathroom in one of their t-shirts with the pants she was still wearing and a pair of sliders.

Rolling her eyes at their expected looks, Grace lifted the t-shirt to show the marks. Of course it caused an explosion which Seokjin shook his head out as he came out of the same bathroom, hanging the expensive jacket on a hanger for the stylists and folding up his own clothes.

"She just needs a cool shower and to stay off her feet for a couple of days," their hyung explained as Grace gratefully accepted the piggyback side off Jungkook.

Thankfully, there were no more painful outfits after that.
