Lil mabu-Prom

It was prom season and I was pissed off because Matthew hasn't asked me to go yet. He didn't even know if he'd be able to go

T: how bout you ask him ?

Tucker asked me while I was writing down notes for Matthew in class

Y/n: I would but he doesn't even know if he can go, he's getting booked all over the place

T: well I guess you can just miss it as well or go alone

Y/n: I just thought we would finish this school year off together , im happy that he's doing something he loves and that he doesn't have to rely on his studies anymore but I didn't realize he'd be away so much and miss everything

T: it'll be alright y/n , he would probably fly you somewhere to make up for it

He said trying to make me feel better, after school I went straight home in order to catch Matthew awake due to our time difference

M: hey my love

Y/n: hey boo how's Australia?

M: it's cold out here , makes me miss laying up with you more than ever

Y/n: I miss you too Matt , when are you coming back?

M: I don't know yet , we did model auditions today, the videos will probably be next week

Y/n: oh you know that prom is next week right ?

M: nah you said it was on the 23rd

Y/n: next week Thursday is the 23rd babe

I could tell that he genuinely forgot so I was upset I was really waiting for him to ask when he didn't even remember the date

M: im sorry love , I don't know if I'll be able to make it back in time for it . Did you get your dress already?

I nodded making sure not to make my tears noticeable

M: y/n I'll make it up to you I promise, please don't cry

Y/n: I'm sorry, but you don't understand how important it is to me

M: I know it's important for us to be together for our senior year but I've been working hard for us

Y/n: and I want you to do your best, your doing so good and I'm happy that your following your dreams it's just you have your future all set up for you and me I have no idea what I'm supposed to do after I leave high school

M: that doesn't matter you'll figure something out eventually ,you are the smartest person I know you could do anything you've ever dreamed of

Y/n: that's the thing I've never thought I could even make it this far I never felt secure in anything in my life before you , I only ever dreamed that you would be happy with me

M: ofc I'm happy with you ,my most happiest moments in my life are of you being right by my side. I'm in love with you and I'll never stop ok I will be as supportive as you are when you decide what you want for yourself

He sternly said , making sure I knew he was being sincere I was relieved to finally express my insecurities about my future to someone who is as caring as Matthew

Y/n: I love you too Matt , it's ok if your busy I'll just find a solution

We continued speaking for a couple hours before he had to go to bed and I spent the rest of the night figuring out what I'd do

Prom night

I was in my room watching a movie, I decided to not go to prom , it wouldn't be the same without Matt anyways . I stayed home from school today and I waited for his call, my brother came into my room and sat on my bed
