I was woken up by a loud noise outside my window, I looked out to see a moving truck with men moving things into the house next door . I got ready for the day before my mom called me downstairs, she was in the living room with a woman and a boy I've never seen before

M: and there she goes , this is my daughter y/n , she a little younger than your boy . Y/n this is our new neighbors Mrs.kwak and her son Sean

Y/n: hello it's nice to meet you both

I walked up to shake the lady's hand and I waved at the boy , he didn't really acknowledge me much but he waved back at me

M: well I was going to show mrs.kwak around the area , why don't you show Sean your room and get to know each other ?

I agreed to it and brought him up to my room , he looked around my room before stopping infront of my Taylor swift poster in my wall

Y/n: I love Taylor, do you like her too?

I said trying to make conversation he just looked at me and shrugged before sitting on my bed. I took out my iPad and and sat next to him .

Y/n: this is my favorite video of her's , it's good girl gets bad boy cliche but she makes it so good

I played the video for him to watch ,I sang along and danced making him laugh a little bit

Y/n: did you like it ? It's okay if you don't , probably not your type of mu-

S: I like it , its cool

Y/n: wanna know what's even cooler

I grabbed his hand and led him to my bay window, my window looked straight into his room just like in the video.He looked up at me and shyly smiled when he noticed that I was already looking at him

Y: you have a nice smile Sean , you really should smile more

S: ok I will

We only talked a couple of times after that day , After summer he started high school and made his own friends ,I was only a year behind him when I joined the high school I became pretty popular while Sean was more of the unapproachable type.

Y/n: I feel so bad , I can't take it anymore

I said to my friend Hannah , everyone had been asking me to junior/senior prom and I've been turning people down left and right

H: then say yes to someone , it's not like he's going to ask you

She said mentioning Sean , I've only ever seen Sean , He likes to blend in to the crowd but ever since I met him he was the only person who stood out to me .

Y/n: why can't I just want to go alone ?

H: everyone knows your waiting for Silent Sean to ask you which just isn't going to happen?

Y/n: well a girl can dream , btw the after party is on and poppin , my momma throwing it

H: yeah so you can hand out the invites now

Y/n: yes I'll start after school

After my last class I rushed to the parking lot and stood by my car , right on schedule Sean walked out to his car which was parked next to mine , he had large headphones and a hoodie that covered his curly head of hair . I walked up to him and got his attention

S: yo y/n wassup
He said taking off his headphones

Y/n: hey Sean , we haven't spoken in awhile

S: yeah it's been a long time

Y/n: yeah well prom is coming up and I'm having an after party and I wanted to give you this

I handed him a invitation I made special for him , he hesitantly took it and examined it . He chuckled at the details on it

S:thanks y/n, I'll see if I could make it

Y/n: ok , thanks Sean , see you around then

He got into his car and drove off

Time skip

It was a week before prom and my mom invited mrs.kwak over for dinner

M: it's been a long time since we've all been together

Mk: yeah I'm sorry about Sean , he's always running late

M: oh it's fine by me , he grew to be so handsome I bet he's just out breaking girls hearts

Just on cue he walked into the house ,he greeted all of us before we sat down to eat

Mk: so prom is coming up , do you kids have any dates

Y/n: Ive decided to go alone , so no one ends up hurt

Mk: why would they get hurt ?

S: I saw like 7 people ask her , she rejected them all

M: well why did you say no ?

Y/n: I didn't like any of the guys

S: that's a shame

Sean mumbled while finishing up his food after dinner , Sean asked to speak with me in my room so we went there

S: you changed your room up
He said noticing the difference since the last time he's been in here , I still had my Taylor swift poster in the same position he pointed it out when he noticed it

S: but luckily something's never change ,still love that song right ?

Y/n: you remember that ?

I cringed at the embarrassing memory

S: of course I remember , you were so nice to me and I always appreciated it .

He said while grabbing my hand , and sat me at my bay window

S: I've been wanting to tell you how I liked you for a long time , I just didn't know how to approach it . I didn't think I was in your league or even your type and I tried to throw hints like I curled my hair as you suggested but I'm not good at being obvious

Y/n: you like me ? Like for real

I asked in shook when he nodded and gave me his cute smile , he kept looking out the window but I kept staring at him

S: y/n look out the window

I looked out to see our moms in his room holding a sign "PROM? " My jaw dropped and I couldn't believe what I was seeing

Y/n: you're serious ?

S: yes, I'm serious

Y/n: this is so sweet, yes I'll go to prom with you

I hugged him and danced around making him laugh , I couldn't wait to tell my friends about this Never say never y'all
