Jungkook:

A heavy sigh escaped my lips as I ruffled my hair in annoyance. My mind couldn't stop thinking about what happened yesterday in the library between me and Y/N.

"What's wrong with you, Jungkook? You look so annoyed," Yoongi Hyung asked, making me startle. "When did you get here? I didn't even hear you open the door," I said, hastily fixing my tie.

"Oh, it's been like 20 minutes; you've been zoned out in front of the mirror all this time," he said, scrolling through his phone screen.

"I even called you," he added, leaving me confused. Have I been so lost in thoughts that I didn't even hear him come inside? I need to get a grip on myself whoosh.

"Nothing. Maybe, I'm just a little worn out," I replied, trying to deflect from the real issue at hand. I couldn't bring myself to admit that Y/N is occupying my thoughts.

"I totally believe you. Whatever, let's go," Hyung replied, walking out of my room.

Y/N:

"That really sucks," Miso said as I twirled my noodles with my fork. "What did he even expect me to react like? 'Oh! What a funny prank at 8 pm when I'm in the library alone, haha?'" I scoffed, frustration in my voice.

"Let's not think about it; men are dumb," Miso comforted me. "I doubt that," I replied before taking a bite. Jungkook's presence has become a constant irritant in my life, like it's unbearable for me to see his face.

While we were enjoying our lunch, Jungkook and his friends entered the canteen, disrupting my peace. Seems like there's no escaping him. I sighed, hoping for a day where I wouldn't have to deal with him.

"Hey, let's go, I'm done," I said, rising from my chair. Whenever Jungkook and I are in the same room, except for class, it feels like something is bound to go wrong. Ever since our first encounter, it seems like bad luck followed me.

I couldn't help but wonder if Jungkook is the "bad luck" my mother often joked about with her friends. I've never been superstitious, but lately, it felt a little too coincidental.

"Order 98, ready!" Chef yelled. I grabbed the two plates of steaks, feeling like I was performing a circus act with these plates. It's pretty crowded today. Well, you can't expect a restaurant not to be crowded on a holiday night. I thanked my lucky stars that I had finished studying earlier today

Placing the two steaks on a couple's table, I couldn't help but wonder if some of these couples were even real. Cause like, I've witnessed a lot break up confessions In this restaurant.

Just as I was about to serve another couple, the restaurant's door swung open. "Welcom-," I stopped in the middle. "You?" I exclaimed. It was Jungkook and my other two classmates, Taehyung and Jimin.

"So, you work here, huh?" Jungkook asked. "Yeah, whatever, sit wherever you want," I replied with a tone that didn't exactly scream hospitality. "Well, aren't you supposed to be polite to customers?" Jungkook questioned.

"Right," I mumbled, slowly turning back to him. "Here, let me show you." I motioned for them to follow me. "Jungkook?," he stares at me. "Ok, um, Sir this way," I corrected myself. "Yes, that's how you say it."

After seating them, I was about to leave when Jungkook asked, "Aren't you going to take our order?" I forced myself to turn around, knowing my hot-headed boss was already upset with me. If I treat Jungkook rudely, it might escalate stuff.

"Well, uh, yeah, of course. Tell me," Jungkook stared at me. "Sir," I corrected myself again. "I'll have the White Sauce Pasta," Jimin said. "Share, bro," Taehyung chimed in. "It's on me, order whatever you want," Jimin added. "Okay, I'll take a steak," Taehyung decided. "That's expensive, dude, but anything for you," Jimin grinned. "That's my guy i love you hyung"

"I'll have Teokbokki," Jungkook said as I wrote down their orders. "Okay, I'll get everything for you," I said before leaving, but then Jungkook cleared his throat, reminding me that I forgot to say "Sir."

What a pain in the ass. Jungkook made me clean up the juice he purposely spilled on the floor. While I was thinking, another customer called me. "Hey, lady," the guy said in a flirtatious tone. He was incredibly drunk, unable to even sit straight.

"Wanna drink with me?" he says, his words are barely understandable. "Sir, are you okay? You seem drunk. Should I call a cab for you?" I asked, genuinely concerned.

"Nope," he said, looking at me with a mischievous grin. "You're pretty cute. Wanna... book a room, lady?" His request sent shivers down my spine. I didn't respond and turned to inform my male colleagues about the situation, but he grabbed my wrist, preventing me from leaving.

"Sir, let go. I'll return with someone to assist you," I said, not being able to hold my anger anymore. I moved my hand and slapped him before I could even realize. "Did you just slap me, bitch?", "Leave my hand before I file a case dude what the hell and get yourself some help".

"You think I need help getting home, bitch? Do you know who I am? I don't need anyone's help! I can pay you a lot of money." His loud and offensive comments attracted everyone's attention, including Jungkook's.

"Just come with me to my place, lady. I only need your help, and I want to see you moaning on my dick while I do stuff to-", In the next second, the guy was on the floor, passed out.

"Fucker," I heard Jungkook's voice. "Easy, Jungkook, calm down. One punch is enough," Jimin advised, preventing Jungkook from going for another punch.

"Get him out now," Taehyung instructed one of my colleagues, while I continued to stare at Jungkook.

"What a jerk," he muttered.
