Months ago, when it all began so slowly and then progressively got meteoric.

You didn't think this small-scale mission would take so long, and yet it did. However, with so many challenges, injuries and violence fired right at you, it would only be sensible so much time would pass.

And indeed, here you were, sitting on a bed Anshine and Ploque made for you after you beat Ulipse in her battle. You wished that all you got from Ulipse's aggression was a few broken bones, but that definitely wasn't how it went.

You grumbled, reminiscing the time you combatted Ulipse. Layers upon layers of bandages were wrapped around patches of your corroded and injured skin, and apparently Ulipse snapped your left ankle and dislocated your right foot from strengthfully bulldozing you by your feet. Great! Wonderful! Simply supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! This mission was only going to get tediously longer, and who knew when you could finally put a stop to this Celesteal guy?

Just as you were about to get more indignant, a knock came from a door and Ploque entered. "Well well well, how is the almighty Star Savior doing?" he stifled a small chuckle, walking in and sitting on a stool near the bed. "You fended off Ulipse pretty well, even with all those bandages. Just a few scratches, am I right?"

"Yeah, right," you frowned at his remark.

"Oh, yes! I almost forgot to tell you something. Doorway effect is really getting to me," Ploque suddenly brought up. "You have a special visitor."

You cocked your head to one side curiously. "A special visitor?"

"Eh, you'll know what I mean sooner or later," Ploque got up, dusting off his arms and staring at you with a wink before heading over to the door with a sympathetic smile. "I'll leave you alone for now. Get well soon, Second Star Savior."

You nodded as a way to say thanks and then patiently waited.

...

For fuck's sake, it's been 7 hours.

You've been sitting on the bed, in the same spot, awaiting for the arrival of this "special visitor". And yet, not a single person has entered ever since then, except for Anshine who brought you some food for lunch. The moon seems to have out-shined the sun now, and yet no one has entered your room. You sighed, tumbling on your back and onto your bed.

Well, another day has mysteriously slipped by yet again.

You huffed and frowned, stretching your arms out in exhaustion. You hugged the cloud-shaped plushie one of the Points made for you. After some time, you finally fell asleep peacefully.

...

Creak...

Cyalm sighed and breathed heavily, finally arriving at your room. He made sure to wait until all of the other Points were reposing before visiting you to make sure no one would try to eavesdrop or intrude. Although, he certainly didn't expect it to take as long as it did.

He was a bit disappointed to see that you were already asleep, but he was still adamant about watching over you. Silently, Cyalm slowly levitated over to you before gently sitting on one side of the bed.

As he gazed down at your face, he noticed how peaceful and at ease you looked when you were asleep. Away from all those fierce battles with the Points and not having the need to collect any stars... he was strangely mesmerized by it.

He felt... pitiful. You were put through all this agony for his divine narrative.

As he continued to stare at your dormant figure in deep thought, he couldn't help but irresistibly place a hand on your cheek.

He immediately jumped and pulled away in quick remorse as he saw you mumbling and slowly waking up in surprise and confusion to his touch. "Shit... shouldn't have done that...!" he quietly whispered under his breath. He watched in disbelief as you slowly opened your eyes, turning your head to look at him. What would you think of him watching you as you slept?

"Cyalm...? What are you... doing here...?" you asked in a rather groggy manner. "Are you... here to..."

"...visit..." you mumbled incoherently as you irresistibly collapsed back onto the bed, your voice trailing off as you seemingly fell back asleep instantaneously. Cyalm couldn't help but breathe out a sigh of relief. "Half asleep, I see," he thought to himself, gently placing his hand on top of your bandaged one. "Fine by me... fine by me."

For hours into the night, he sat by you, watching over you and making sure no one would walk in or horn in on the both of you. After a long while, it was in the middle of midnight.

Cyalm got up, slowly heading towards the door. Just then, he looked back at you, feeling a bit unwilling and reluctant to leave. With a heavy heart, he walked back up to you, taking a neatly folded blanket from a corner of the room and draped it over your body.

He smiled softly as he slowly bended over, cupping your cheek and placing a gentle kiss on your forehead. He could feel his face glow a light cyan blush in the dark as his smile widened marginally.

"Good night, Second Star Savior," he gently whispered in your ear before taking his leave.

Turns out, something was more salient to him other than his narrative after all.
