harry was sat against a tree, looking at some sort of messed up book that neville had given him. harry and roslyn were now on their own, they felt shunned by the whole of the school, including their friends. neville was kind enough to let the pair be around him since he knew that they didn't enter this competition.
roslyn was sat on the floor by the lake, pulling out weeds from the edge of the water that neville said was 'bad for the environment' so she offered to give a helping hand. he was knees deep in the water, looking at some herbs that were more rare than usual.
"amazing." neville said randomly and roslyn grinned a little as she pulled more weeds out of the water and tossing them into a bucket. her hands were now rather muddy.
"amazing!" neville said again and harrys next words came out a little harsher than he had wished "neville. you're doing it again."
"oh." the boy said sadly "right, sorry."
roslyn looked up at him, giving him a friendly and apologetic smile "it's okay neville."
roslyn then looked at harry behind her, almost glaring at him. harry sort of shrugged and looked back at the roughed up book "magical water plants of the highland lochs?"
