"Hey Hubby," I said.
"Hey wifey," Derek said.
"How's it going?," I asked.
"Its going. I was going to the same thing you know," Derek said.
"You were. I wonder how I knew that," I said with sarcasm.
"I wonder as well," Derek said with sarcasm as well.
"But I was shot in the chest. How am suppose to feel," I said.
"I don't know how do you feel now," Derek asked.
"I can't say right now. There is a whole bunch of different emotions going through me right now," I said.
"Then there is your answer," he said.
"But what am I suppose to do," I asked him.
"What do you mean," Derek asked me.
"I don't know what I mean," I said.
"Then I can't answer your Carly," Derek said.
"Are you sure about that," I said said with sarcasm.
"That is something you need to answer for yourself," he told me.
"You say that a lot," I said.
"But it is true. The best person to get the answer sometimes is yourself," Derek said.
"You also say that a lot as well," I said.
"Carly, maybe you should stop paying attention to that," Derek told me.
"Why should I," I said jokingly.
"It will properly make some people upset," Derek said kind of in a joking way but while still being serious.
"But if the person knows me they would know that is just me," I said.
"Not everybody knows you though," Derek said.
"But people would want to get to know me though," I said.
"Carly that is not everybody," he said.
"That is what happens at my school," I said.
"Carly that is high school. It is not the real world," Derek said.
"Well it is real for me," I said.
"I know it is Carly. It feels real with every teenager. But once you get out of there it is not going to be the same," Derek said.
"It is my life right now," I said.
"I know Carly but it be like this forever though. I'm trying to tell you that," Derek said.
"But since I'm still in it I might as well enjoy it," I said.
"Even getting shot in the chest," Derek said jokingly.
"You know what I mean," I said.
"I was joking around with you Carly," he said.
"I know," I said.
"So what. You can't take a joke now," Derek said jokingly.
"I can so," I said.
"Really. It doesn't look like it right now," Derek said jokingly.
"I bet it doesn't look like it right now," I said.
"Carly I know you are getting upset. But you know that am joking," Derek said.
"I know you are. But I didn't find that very funny though," I said.
"Sorry that I made you upset," Derek said.
"You are lucky that I think of you as my best friend," I told him.
After I said that Derek had to go somewhere. He didn't tell me where. He doesn't have to tell me. But I'm kinda curious. To just leave when he did. I wonder what is going on. Is he seeing a new girl. I should ask Penelope that when I have the chance. She could properly tell me some other juicy bits as well. If she can anyway. If she can't for whatever reason I'm not going to force it out of her. I wouldn't go that far. If I do I will hear about it from my dad. It will properly won't be pretty if I did do that. It usually not. Since when it is ever pretty when your parent discipline you about getting some juicy gossip about FBI agents and cases that you are not supposed to know.
