It's 5am and I'm sitting next to JJs sleeping body trying not to wake him up as my body shakes, all I can think about is how I'm craving coke. I've never had a withdrawal like this, where every nerve is itching, everything that touches my body makes me want to scream. FUCK. I need it. Just one more line. Then I'll quit.

I wasn't in my right mind as I snuck out of the chateau and walked down the dark roads through the cut, heading to the house where I could get my fix. I was surprised to find Rafe and Barry awake and talking in Barrys yard as I walked up. I slowed my pace to listen in on their conversation. Yes I am aware I do this a lot, I'm a nosy person.

Barry scoffs, "This shit is straight out of the Pope's vault, bro." I knew they stole the damn cross. "You don't think we can get more for it as it is?" Barry watched Rafe as he covered the giant firepit where the cross laid. Shit.. he's going to melt it. "I mean, this straight out of church, bro."

"This is how we turn the cross into untraceable money." Rafe told him.

"Untraceable, huh?" Barry looked excited as he looked over at Rafe.

"You know, I heard some crazy shit that happened last night." Rafe commented.

"Is that right?"

"You know that fake cross we put in there?" Rafe asked.

"Yeah."

"It was stolen." Rafe stated. "Does sound like them Pogues, don't it?"

Barry nodded, "Oh, no doubt."

"I mean, I'd pay half the value of this just to see the look on their faces when they opened the box." Rafe smiled as he thought about it.

"I'll bet you would." Barry chuckled, "You know what the melting point of gold is, Country Club?" Rafe shook his head as they both kneeled down to look at the cross in the now covered firepit. "1,948 degrees. Hot enough to melt me and you. I got to be honest with you, dog. I don't know if I got this in me, bro."

"I do." Rafe stated in a low voice as he stared at the cross in a daze.

Barry chuckled, "Yeah, I knew you did. It's all yours, Country Club."

Rafe lit the firepit as I walked up to them, "Rafey, why? That's a cross.." They whipped their heads up to look at me.

"I.. uh, its the only way it can't be traced." Rafe stammered as he side eyed Barry who looked like a kid caught in the act.

"We're definitely going to hell for this man." Barry stood up and grabbed his beer.

"You're burning a cross, doesn't that sound... bad to you?" I asked Rafe as he scratched the back of his neck.

"It's the only option, Kaily. And it's too late, it's already melting." He ran his hands through my hair before tugging the roots to lean my head back to look up at him, "No going back now, you in this with us or not?"

"I just came for some coke." I sighed, "I wont say anything, Rafey, but this goes against our morals. I should be stopping you from melting the damn thing, we're for sure going to hell after this."

He chuckled, "I can always rely on you. We can get clean after we celebrate getting the cross, lets have some fun." Barry laughed when I got excited.

We ended up sitting in lawn chairs watching the sunrise as the cross melted. The three of us did lines, drank beers and talked about old parties we went to together until we finally passed out.

As I gained consciousness I could feel the sun beating down on my body and Rafes chest rise and fall from under me. I peeled my eyes open and took in my surroundings. Fuck my head hurts. We were laying on the couch in the yard, my body laying on top of Rafes, his arms tightened around me as I moved around. My phone started buzzing in my back pocket so I pulled it out. Why is John B calling me. Then I saw about a 100 missed notifications from JJ and the pogues. Shit.
