Jacob's POV

It's been a few months since Bella's, death. After leaving her body in the woods for the animals to basically rip her to shreds, the Cullen's told Charlie that she ran off during the storm. He of course believed it because this wouldn't be the first time she spontaneously ran off. It was two weeks before they found her body. Carlisle, of course, did the autopsy making up something about succumbing to her environment.

After the funeral the Cullen's stuck around for a bit to keep up appearances. Although I'm pretty sure it was to see if Alexandria would return. Which she still hasn't yet. I'm still not fully sure what happened. It's like once she found out about what happened with Bella and I, as if some sort of switch flipped. Still though she hasn't returned. Even though she is my imprint the Cullen's didn't hold a grudge towards us for her actions. Edward wanted Alexandria's head on a spike, but Carlisle wanted to let it go. As if they pushed it, it would be the end of all of them.

I really miss Alexandria. I thought the pack would be angry about her killing Bella but they ultimately weighed the pros and cons, apparently the pros for her death outweighed the cons. I figured I would be more upset but I'm more depressed about Alexandria being gone for this long.

Seth: Jaaakee! JAKE!

I was pulled from my thoughts by Seth yelling my name. Everyone stood around the table, all eyes on me. I ran my hands through my hair as I released a sigh.

Jacob: What?

They all looked at each other nervously. I couldn't help but to start growing irritated.

Sam: A fancy car just pulled up outside.

Making eye contact with all of them but holding Paul and Leah's gazes. The three of us were the first ones headed towards the door with the rest of the pack following. Once on the porch the driver door opened to reveal Rebekah, Alexandria's sister.

Rebekah: Well hello again loves! Never thought I'd see you all again.

Paul stepped forward.

Paul: Rebekah.

A smirk graced her face.

Rebekah: Now you, I was hoping I'd see again.

I could feel Paul's nerves rise as she made her way onto the porch.

Rebekah: Well, aren't you going to invite me inside to see what it is I want exactly?

We all made our way inside as Rebekah took a seat at the table and grabbed one of Emily's muffins. We all looked a bit confused as she ate it. She giggled.

Rebekah: I just like the taste. Does absolutely nothing to fill my hunger though. Anyway, Elijah sent me here to see if any of you have seen Alexandria and Kol?

A wave of confusion hit me. But Seth was the one to voice our confusion.

Seth: I thought your brother Kol was killed by-

Rebekah: Oh Elena Gilbert did kill our dear younger brother but some crazy shit has been happening in Mystic Falls-

She looked up at us from her muffin and cleared her throat.

Rebekah: Anyway, Kol is no longer on the other side, he is once again walking the earth and he has taken Alexandria along for the ride. Anyhow, Elijah is worried for some bloody reason.

I couldn't help but tense at this.

Jacob: Why is Elijah worried? Isn't she basically, indestructible?

Rebekah rolled her eyes.

Rebekah: Those were my exact words but he refused to answer. He also insisted I handle this because what he needed to do was and I quote "As equally important".

I could feel my breathing pick up with panic. Sam came over and tried to help ground me.

Rebekah: I wouldn't worry too much about it. She's with Kol and I'm sure he is probably trying to convince her to flip her switch back on.

The room grew quiet and we all looked at Rebekah.

Jacob: What do you mean, "flip her switch back on"?

She hummed in response before she seemed to come to a realization.

Rebekah: Oh right, for some reason I figured you all already knew everything. Right, well, our kind has what we call a humanity switch. It's basically hidden in the back of our mind. Being that we are supernatural beings we feel everything times a hundred so when our feelings start being too much, we have the option to turn off our humanity. So then we feel nothing. Maybe boredom, rage, and euphoria but that's about it.

Our attention was pulled towards Leah as she asked about her imprint.

Leah: So, is that why Elijah is worried?

We all turned back to Rebekah waiting for her answer.
