Finding Myself

Chapter 9

We were playing monopoly and having pizza when someone knocks on the door

" Hold on ,I'll be right back " Luke says as he goes to answer the door

" Ok " I say as I wait for him

" Hello good evening, there has been a report about a missing kid and I was wondering if you have any links to finding her ?"

The man at the door can't be talking about me , no one knows I exist...right?

" No sir " Luke says

" Let me in I must search your house !" The officer says and pushes Luke out of the way

" Hey ! You have to have a warrant , you can't just barge in here like that !"

Luke yelled to the officer,

Run run ,I kept trying to tell myself ,but my feet wouldn't move

The officer comes right to me and grabs me by my arm

" Let me go ! Let me go !" I yell

But he keeps dragging me away

" Stop you have no right to take her like that !" Luke trys fighting to get me back ,but nothing works

The grip on my arm is firm and I'm in pain ,my head hurts and I start crying

"Luke Luke !! "

I yell out as he gets smaller and smaller.......

" Hey wake up , your only dreaming " I heard Luke's voice

I jump up and sit on my bed

" Luke ? They didn't take me ?" I ask with tears in my eyes

" No sweetie ,your safe here with me ok "
Luke comes and wraps his arms around me and I cling to him and cry new tears of relief because I was only dreaming , Luke probably didn't know what I might by " take " me ,but I think he understands

The next day it was raining so I stayed inside and kept myself entertained ,but I was getting bored quickly

" Luke can I go outside ?" I ask as i came up to him in his office

" No ,you'll catch a cold "

" Please Luke ,only for alittle bit" I can't help but beg , of course whenever it rained I always went outside , that was when I had no one to tell me no

" The answers no , so quit asking" Luke didn't look up from his papers

I just walked out of his office , it's so unfair , he can't boss me around like that

So I decided I was gonna go out anyway

I open the back door and go out , just as the rain falls harder

I run and jump in puddles and open my mouth for the rain to fall in , this was so fun , i did this for what felt like an hour when I heard a very angry shout

" Isabella !!!"

Great way to ruin my fun Luke

I make my way to the back door

" What?" I ask

" Don't you "what " me, you know exactly why I'm calling your name young lady! Now get your butt inside and take a shower and get in dry clothes this instant !"

I quickly get inside and run upstairs , causing a wet mess to be on the wood floors

" After your done your gonna clean up this wet mess ,you understand me? " Luke shouts after me

" Yes sir!"

After I was all dry and clean I got towels and mopped up the water on the floor and made my way to the couch and turned the TV on

Just then Luke walks in

" Oh no young lady ,your in big trouble for not listening to me "

He grabs the remote and turns it off

" There's nothing wrong with going outside in the rain , I did it all the time when I lived alone!" I say

" Yes there is ! You could of got a bad cold and or something else bad like you slip and fall and hurt yourself!" Luke yells back

" For disobeying me ,your in trouble ! Come here " Luke said

I didn't have no reason to not come to him , plus he's probably just gonna hug me , everytime he said I was gonna get in trouble it was always empty threats

I come to him and stand in front of him , but instead of giving me a hug ,he lead us to the couch and he sat down and put me to stand infront of him

" What you did was wrong , so your going over my knee , and just so you know it's a punishment so it's supposed to hurt ,ok?"

Umm hurt? going over his knee ? I just don't understand

He grabs my waist and puts me over his knee ,it was alittle ackward

" Ok now I'm gonna start " he says and before I could answer I felt the worse sting on my behind

" Ouch!" I yell out and try to wiggle my way out of his hold but it didn't work

" Hold still , just 4 more " with that he puts his hand down hard on my backside 4 more times just like he said and I was crying my eyes out

" Shh it's all over , your forgiven ok , just don't ever disobey me again or you'll be back over my knee " Luke was holding me in his arms as he tells me this

Well now I know what over his knee meant

" Now you ready to eat dinner,I'm sure you got hungry running out there in the rain"

" Yes " I answer as I sniffle

" Ok come on , you can help me cook dinner " Luke says as he carries me to the kitchen, he doesn't carry me much,so I felt real special and almost forgot about the " over his knee moment" but that was of course before I sat down for dinner ...
