I woke up stiff and my whole body hurt
I opened my eyes and it was almost light out , Samuel was still by my side but this time he was sleeping
" Samuel" I say in a whisper
He doesn't move
"Samuel ?" I say alittle louder
" Ummm ?" He hums while moving alittle bit
" Why are you still out here , I told you to go away?" I say
" Ummm" he says again but this time he was stretching
" How did you sleep ? Are you feeling better ?" He asked in a sleepy voice
" It doesn't matter how I slept and I asked you a question!?" I say
" Oh yeah , I know you didn't wanna be alone , I have been through similar circumstances and I never wanted to be alone , all I wanted was to be cared about and fed and have a home , so to answer your question,I am still here because you need someone to look after you "
" I do not !" I say matter of factly
" What's your name ?" He asks
" Doesn't matter " I say
" I told you my name , it only seems fair that you tell me yours ?" He says as he moves to a better sitting position
" Fine , my name's Isabella" I say
" Wow that is a very pretty name" Samuel says
" Thanks ,but whatever " I say
" Hey what's wrong ? Am I doing something to make you upset ?" He asks
" Yes ,your right here in my space , all I want is to be alone ,that's why I ran away..I mean umm " I realized I just said I ran away
" You ran away from home?" He asks
" No, I mean not really , I don't have a home " I say with my head down
" Well it's ok Isabella, there's always someone who will take care of you " he says
" How old are you ?" I ask
" I'm 15 " he says
" So a 15 year old boy scared away a grown ass man ?" I asked surprised
" I have my ways , also no cursing , it's rude " he says
" Ugh ,you sound like everyone else , that's why I wanna be alone , everyone always tells me what I can and can not do " I roll my eyes
" Well Isabella ,I hate to break it to you ,but that is what it's like all around the world for kids your age ,all kids need guidance to grow up to be polite and kind and hard working , you need that in your life" he says
" Ok , I know " I say as I pick at my blanket
" Do you want to go to my house and clean up ?" He asks
" Ok sure , thanks " I say and try to get up but I'm in to much pain
" Can you help me Samuel?" I ask and realize ,this is the first time I ever asked for help
" Of course " he says and comes over to me
" Can you walk ? Or do you need to be carried ?" He asked so casually
" Umm ,uh I can walk , I think yeah " I was embarrassed, I didn't want this cute man carring me
We didn't have to walk any more then a mile before he lead us to a house , it was taken care of on the outside , it made me excited to see the inside
" Are your parents gonna be home " I ask
" I don't have any parents, it's just me and my grandma " he answers
" Oh ,I'm sorry " I say
" Don't be , they were abusive to me and I wouldn't wanna change a thing about how I'm living now"
We head to the porch and once we are at the door , Samuel opens the door and walks on in with me limping along with him
" Wow " I say
" You like it ?" He asks
" Like ? I love it!" I say excited
It was beautiful, everything so clean and organized , they had a big couch and TV and bright kitchen with fruits and pastries of every kind on the table
" It's my grandma's business, she sells them " he says referring to all the pastries
" This is so cool " I say as my eyes roam everywhere
Samuel smiles and just watched me with excitement in his eyes
" Come on ,we have plenty of room for you to crash here , there's a guest room upstairs next to my room ,or there's a guest room downstairs ,next to Nana's room , you can have whichever one "
" I'll have the one upstairs" I say
And he smiles big and excitly leads me upstairs
" Be careful on these stairs please " he says
Once we get to the guest room ,he shows me the bathroom
" And my bedroom is right across from yours so if you need anything I'll be there" he said
" Thanks Samuel,for being so kind to me " I say
" Umm yeah " he smiles and he was about to say something but a noise from downstairs stopped him
" Samuel " a woman's voice could be heard
" I'm upstairs ! Also got a big surprise for you !" He yelled and looked at me
