"Just lead Alecto to where i told you, and your friends will be fine. You have my word."

A small nod was all they got in response, turning away from the man ahead of them.

"Why do you want Alecto there?" All they got in response was a light chuckle before he started talking.

"There is something special about Alecto that I want to find out, something I plan on unveiling." The man sat in silence before waving his hand, telling the person ahead of him to leave.

They hesitated for a moment, ultimately choosing to turn their back and walk away.

'I'm sorry everyone.' They thought to themselves, a small tear making it's way down their face.

Alecto's POV

3rd April 2258

I prepare myself, standing by the door, several heroes getting ready to breach with me.

This was it.

After steeling my nerves, i open the door, each one of them following after me.

This was the beginning of the end.

Only the sound of our footsteps was clear as we rushed up the stairway. i slam open the door, throwing a small device at the first person i saw and encompassed their chest in ice instantly. i sprint towards the man covered in ice and gripped him by the arm, listening to the air shifting around me as the other heroes rushed by me. I throw the man into the wall beside us, knocking him out.

I notice a body had been thrown in the air from Mirko, Seeing her move onto another enemy. I jump up to meet them, kicking them in the head and finishing them.

I could feel the anger rising through me as we rushed through the facility.

Each member i took out, only adding to the fuel inside me.

i dodge my head to the side, avoiding a fist, and jam my finger into a never cluster just above their armpit. Their body seized up immediately, falling to the floor. Before they could fall an inch, i grab them by the arm and lift them over my head, throwing them into the air. Ground Zero flies towards the body, slamming an explosion into their stomach.

In one swift movement, i pull my sword out of it's sheath, blocking a small dagger. I retaliate quickly, slamming the soul of my foot into their stomach. She doesn't stay back for long and throws her dagger towards me. i hit the side of the blade to the side and watch as it flies back to her hands, revealing a thin rope attached to the handle.

She attacked again, doing the same attack as before. i grip at the handle, stopping its motion and slice the rope with my own blade. I throw her dagger back at her and charge. She flinched back at the speed of the dagger and just managed to dodge it, but she didn't see me coming.

I hold my sword in a reverse grip and slam the pommel of my sword into her stomach, causing her to spit out some saliva. She threw a sloppy punch, which i moved in front of her body, followed by a hook to her head. Her limp body fell to the floor from the hit, causing me to move on.

Each hit i landed, the anger inside me boiled, burning my insides from top to bottom.

I took every opportunity i could to land a hit, even taking a few hits if it made sure i could land the finishing blow, causing a slight pain to ring out through my body.

But the pain didn't matter.

Because it meant nothing compared to what i would do to them.

Rumi's POV

Watching Alecto finish off another member made me flinch. Each fight he started, he finished brutally. His usual elegance was thrown further and further out of the window which each punch he threw. It was like nothing else mattered to him.
