[ Chapter Thirty: Welcome home, my Princess ]

Age: 20

EVERYONE RUSHED ONTO THE HOSPITAL FLOOR that we were assigned to by Dr. Goldstein earlier during our appointments. Joseph was in the front, guiding us out with my grandmother behind him and following her was Lucien with Lionel, afterwards being me and Jeremiah with Maxwell behind us.

"Hello, Dr. Goldstein is expecting us. It's for her VIP." I could hear Joseph say to the nurse and she nodded her head, grabbing the phone at the desk

"Yes, sir. I'll inform her right now you're on your way. We have a private room already waiting for you." The nurse notified us before she spoke into the phone quickly but I couldn't hear the conversation

I closed my eyes in discomfort as I felt a contraction hit me before opening them once more. I glanced to see the nurse had already put the phone down and was guiding everyone down the hall. I took a deep breath and leaned back, doing my best to calm my racing heart down.

**ROYAL MOMENTS**

We've been here already almost a full day, but last time I had been checked by the doctor, I was at 7cm. But that had been hours ago, and I was ready to give birth and all. I released a long groan as my body tensed itself as a contraction hit me.

"Jeremiah, why doesn't she want to come out?" I asked my husband after the groan, lifting my head up to look at him

"I think you made such a nice home for the last 9 months that she just doesn't want to leave." Jeremiah told me softly, giving me a kiss on the forehead and I smiled up at him

"That's sweet and all, really, it is. But stop lying to me." I told him with a smirk before it disappeared into a groan as another contraction passed

"It's been 15 hours, how are you?" Dr. Goldstein asked me as she walked into the room while putting on her gloves

"Doc, you gotta help me out. Give me the drugs. I need the drugs!" I felt like I practically shouted the words out as I groaned, feeling another contraction

"Actually, I think you're ready to go into the delivery room but let me double check." The doctor told me with a smile, already used to my antics due to my last pregnancy

"What? It's time? But it's only been 15 hours, with Rupert it was much longer." I told the doctor worriedly as she sat down on the stool in front of me

"Second babies tend to come faster than the first born. But you had C-Section with him so we can wave that off. All labors are different, it depends on the person and what is happening. But you're ready, 10 cm." Dr. Goldstein assured me with a big smile as she stood up after she checked me

"We're about to become parents again." Jeremiah told me with a smile and I nodded back at him before throwing my head back onto the pillow, releasing a groan

**ROYAL MOMENTS**

"Push! Push! For 5 more seconds, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1." Dr. Goldstein counted down as I threw myself back onto the pillows behind me

"The next contraction should be in about 20 seconds." Dr. Goldstein notified us both and I grunted in acknowledgement

"Jer, I can't. I can't do this. I can't push anymore. I push, and push and nothing happens!" I exclaimed to him, and I could feel my eyes watering already at the thought of already failing the baby

"Pretty girl, you're doing great." Jeremiah assured me, patting my sweating forehead to dry it and I groaned as the next contraction passed

"There we go, a little earlier but that's okay. Okay, keep pushing. Push, wait, wait. I see something." Dr. Goldstein halted my labor and I panted heavily, unsure what to do next now

"What? You do, you do? Oh my god!" Jeremiah gasped as he rushed over to be at Dr. Goldstein's side

"Jeremiah! What?! What's happening?!" I yelled out to the duo in front of me as I tensed, trying to hold myself back from pushing

"It's the baby buttocks. She's breech." Dr. Goldtsein informed us as she looked worriedly at the sight before her

"I didn't feel anything off this time." I told Jeremiah, bursting into tears that the baby was already being failed with me as her mother

"Oh, God. Is she going to be okay?" Jeremiah asked the important questions, ones that I was too afraid to ask

"She's gonna be fine. She's in a more difficult position so you're gonna have to push even harder now, go." Dr. Goldstein demanded from me and I did what I was told, pushing with all my strength

"That's it. Push, push. Mary, you're gonna have to push even harder. I'm not seeing a difference." Dr. Goldstein told me worriedly and I shared a look with Jeremiah, the tears falling freely from both our faces

"I'm sorry, I can't. I can't. I can't." I repeated to myself and Jeremiah rushed towards me, holding my hand tightly in his

"You can, I know you can. I wish I could do this for you. Pretty girl, it's time. Imagine all those times Lana and Josh angered you in high school, when they made fun of us. Do you remember what you felt? The anger? The burning? Use that." Jeremiah told me and I nodded my head at his words, thinking about everything

"Okay, babe. I'm ready. Ready to give Lana and Josh hell." I whispered to him and he nodded his head, squeezing my hand and I did the same

"One, two, and three. Keep pushing." Jeremiah encouraged me and I nodded my head, as I pushed with everything I had

"I'm doing it, I'm doing it, I'm doing it." I chanted before yelling out all my emotions that I was feeling as I did my best to push the baby out

"She's upside down but she's coming, she's coming." Dr. Goldstein informed us and I nodded my head with a tired sigh before pushing once more

"Oh, god. Oh, god. She's beautiful." I whispered to myself as I caught the first sight of my daughter in my eyes

"Oh, she's perfect and tiny." Jeremiah told me and I squeezed his hand tightly when the doctor took her to get cleaned up

It went by so fast because the next thing I knew, the baby was being placed onto my arms, already swaddled in her blankets. I cooed down at her as Jeremiah helped me take a blanket piece off the side so I could have skin-to-skin contact with her. I couldn't help but just stare at her, she was the most gorgeous baby I've ever seen beside Rupert.

"I know you. Hey, baby girl." Jeremiah whispered to the baby who started to cry after a few seconds making us laugh

"She's beautiful, huh?" I asked him and he nodded his head, not taking his eyes off her and I passed her to him

**ROYAL MOMENTS**

Jeremiah was cuddled up to me, the both of us laying on my hospital bed. He held the baby in his arms and at the moment, I wished that Rupert was with us but Sebastian and Sheila were watching him for us. She opened her eyes briefly, and released a huff before going back to sleep making me shake my head fondly.

"Your turn, Jeremiah. Name our baby." I whispered to my husband, my eyes never leaving from watching her sleep

"She's our hope, a part of our future. I went into a deep dive a few weeks back and saw that Nadia meant hope and it even means delicate in some parts of the world. She's our little delicate hope." Jeremiah explained to me on his meaning and I smiled up at him

"You got Rupert's middle name so I choose hers. I'll choose it after the strongest woman I know, my mother." I told him and he nodded his head, giving me a kiss on the lips making me smile

"Hello Nadia." Both Jeremiah and I greeted baby Nadia softly after our kiss and we were absolutely mesmerized of her
