I shut my eyes, tightly, for the view will forever be the same as if I opened them. Darkness around me, I can't get out. I'm alone, trapped in this darkness. I can't breathe, I can't sleep, I can't do anything but wait on until the torturous void around me disappears. Which would be never, until you appeared.

You reached out a hand to me, a hand I hesitated on holding. A hand, that many people have hurt before. Cut and scarred, blood seeping out from the unhealed opening. Raw, and hurting. You held my hand tightly to your body and hugged me tight. You softly told me :

' If we can't find the light, I'll stay with you in the dark. '
