Later on, like Alex had promised, she'd gotten everyone else out of Kara's apartment to leave Kara and Lena alone to clean up and talk. It had been easier than she'd thought, since Nia and Brainy had wanted to spend some alone time together, J'onn and Eliza were going to start running down leads on Jeremiah and Alex and Kelly needed to look over a few things for Kelly's campaign.

"Thank you for staying behind to help me clean up. I still can't believe everyone no one else bothered to." Kara said as she and Lena continued cleaning up.

"I don't mind. I think the main reason they did it is because they're trying to see if they can guilt me into doing this stuff for them." Lena said, even though she knew the real reason Alex had gotten everyone else to leave and she just hoped that things would go well.

"Well I guess I'll need to tell them to knock that off." Kara said.

"Kara, seriously, I don't mind helping out." Lena said.

"Well, I appreciate it Lena. But I get the feeling that this has something to do with whatever Alex talked to you about this morning. She didn't threaten you did she? Because if she did, I don't care if she's my sister, I will toss her into the sun." Kara said, since if Alex ruined any chance of her ending up with Lena, she would kill her sister.

"Whoa, down girl. Alex didn't threaten me. In fact, she helped me figure a few things out. Especially why I really reacted the way I did when I found out your secret." Lena said.

"Really, I thought we already talked about this?" Kara asked.

"And I thought we had, but then Alex came along and she really got me thinking." Lena said.

"About what?" Kara asked.

"About the real reason I was so hurt by you lying to me and why I couldn't see that it was to protect me." Lena said, knowing that she had to get this out now before she lost her courage.

"Okay." Kara said, wondering where this was going, since Lena was clearly trying to put off saying whatever it was she wanted to say for as long as she could.

However, Lena could not bring herself to say the words, since she didn't want to say the wrong thing and scare Kara off, but instead, she decided that for once, she was not going to think with her brain and just let her actions do the talking for her, so before she could overthink it anymore and talk herself out of it, Lena decided to just walk up to Kara and closed the distance between them and before Kara even knew what was happening, Lena kissed her, their lips locking together.

Kara was stunned about what was happening. Lena was kissing her. About a thousand thoughts were going through her head right now, but Kara was so stunned that she couldn't do anything. It wasn't until Lena finally pulled away that her brain finally started to work again.

"Kara, I am so sorry if I just ruined everything between us, but I needed to do that. I hope that I didn't just make things weird between us." Lena began to ramble an apology, only to be silenced as this time Kara kissed her.

"Why did you assume I didn't like it?" Kara couldn't help but whisper as she pulled away and pressed her forehead against Lena's.

"You didn't react." Lena said softly, not believing this was really happening.

"I was in shock and you pulled away before I could get with the program." Kara said as she took Lena's hands in her own as they sat down on the couch.

"So, you're not angry at me?" Lena asked.

"Lena, I'm positive that the only reason Alex had that conversation with you this morning is because I came out to her as bisexual last night and told her I had a not so small crush on you and she took that as an all clear to meddle in my love life." Kara said.

"Hey, do you hear me complaining about that?" Lena asked and Kara chuckled.

"I'm still going to be opening the floodgates and telling Kelly every embarrassing story about Alex that she wouldn't let me tell her until now." Kara said and Lena chuckled.

"I think that you only need to tell Kelly one story. After all, she did us a favor." Lena said and Kara smiled.

"True, but I'm gonna make it clear to Alex to stay out of my love life from now on." Kara said.

"I'm sure she'll be more than happy about that." Lena said.

"Okay, enough about Alex, let's get back to us. We both clearly liked that kiss, but now I think we need to talk about where we go from here." Kara said, finally getting them back on topic.

"Well, I don't know about you, but I'm thinking that it involves me taking you out to dinner at one of the nicest and most expensive restaurants in the city." Lena said and Kara smiled.

"Fine, but only because I want to see how far you're willing to go to impress me. If it goes well, I want any future dates to be at a place that's in both our price ranges." Kara said and Lena smiled.

"Deal, but I want you to promise me that if you do wear blue tomorrow night, it's not your super suit. I want you to leave that with Alex and not use your powers under any circumstances. National City has plenty of other heroes to protect it, I want one night where I have you all to myself." Lena said and Kara smiled.

"Done. But now I really do have to get going and now that I think about it, don't you need to get going too. After all, you should probably get your interview with Cat over with before she leaves Catco for today. Then we can get a few days of peace." Lena said.

"Agreed. And I'll just use my superspeed to finish cleaning this place up." Kara said as she walked Lena to the door.

"So, I'll see you tomorrow night?" Lena asked.

"As long as you don't get caught up in the lab." Kara said.

"I promise that won't happen." Lena promised as Kara opened the door, but before she let Lena leave, she gave her one last goodnight kiss.

"Night Lena." Kara said and Lena smiled.

"Goodnight Kara." Lena said before she walked out of the apartment, leaving Kara with a goofy smile on her face as she moved to quickly clean up her apartment.
