Dokyeom POV-

Minghao didn't arrive at school again and I begin to worry. Yesterday Minghao also didn't show up and that's new for Minghao. He never skips school without me knowing. I tried calling him a lot of times but it was always voicemail. Now I'm in geography class, besides me is an empty table. "Xu Minghao?" The teacher takes attendance. It went silence of course. "Dokyeom, where is Minghao?" She asks me. "He's sick" I lied. "Ow okay he didn't let the school know...wish him to get well from me" I nod and the class begins. I cannot pay any attention. My worries are taking over and I get a nauseous feeling in my stomach. **did something bad happen to Minghao?**

The school day comes to an end. I was walking towards my locker when Seungkwan shows up. "Do you know where Minghao is? He didn't show up to art class" I sigh. "I don't know Seung...I have a bad feeling that there is something going on...he never skips school without me knowing" "Maybe you can go to his house?" Seungkwan suggests. Just when I wanted to say something Mingyu runs towards us. "Have you seen Jun? He wasn't there with P.E." "No?" Seungkwan answers but I begin to think. **Didn't Ming say that Jun was a criminal? Did Jun do something to Ming? Why are they both vanished? Wait maybe I'm really overthinking right now. This could be just a coincidence** "Dokyeom? DEE KEE!" Dino's voice snatches me from my thoughts. "When did you arrive?" "A minute ago when you were in an other universe" Dino laughed. I also laugh it off but the thoughts increased my bad feeling. "Okay I will go to Mings house to check on him! See ya later" and by that I walked away. A few see ya's were heard from the others.

I am walking to a very familiar apartment that almost feel like my own. I knock on the door. There is some noise behind to door and then the door flung open. "MINGHAO?" It surprises me and as a respond I scream. "Ow Dokyeom! Sorry honey" a woman that I consider as my second mom rubs my arms to calm me. She looks very stressed with dark bags under her eyes and messy hair. Her eyes look red like she has cried. "Do you now where Minghao is?" Her desperate eyes meet mine. "N-no...that's why I'm here" she pulls me in the apartment and sits down on the couch. I take off my shoes. Just when I wanted to ask if she is okay, she begins to sob. Loud sobs turn in to heart breaking crying. I slowly walk to the couch and sit down next to her. My mind was blank but full of questions at the same time. I hug Minghao's mom and rub comforting circles on her back. She turns to me and soaks my shirt. Water begins to fill my eyes and I feel streams down my face. **this can not be happening right now...** We cried together for a good 10 minutes or some until she separates herself from me. "I'm sorry" her tiny rough voice begins. "No no no it's totally okay, you needed it and I'm always here for you" I cut her of before she could say anything. "I...I just...I just don't know what to do, my Minghao is gone...he's not with me right now...he's not where he should be...I don't even know if he's safe! Ow mother of god I want him to be safe right now" tears start falling again from her tired eyes. "Have you called the police?" I ask. "Yes about 30 minutes ago. They said they will come over" just as she managed to say that, the doorbell rings. "I will get it" I stand up and walk over to open the door. It reveals 3 people. "Hi we are from the police department. Xu Mianwei called us for a missing report" an officer says while showing his police ID. "Ah yes come in...she's sitting on the couch" I let them in and point at the living room. "Thank you" the officer says and walks with one other person to the direction I pointed at. "May I ask who you are" the female police officer that arrived with the trio looks questionable at me. "I'm Lee Seokmin birth name and Lee Dokyeom nickname, I'm Xu Minghao's best friend" I was a bit nervous because she pulls out a notebook and writes something down. "Okay and what are you doing here at this time?" "I was coming home from school and Minghao wasn't at school today, I live at the other side of the street so I went up to Minghao's home to see if he was there. When I arrived I was welcomed by his crying mother who asked where Minghao was. I said I didn't know because that was the reason I was at her doorstep. She let me in and I comforted her the best I could" I explain. The police lady hummed and noted a few things down before saying "Okay thank you, we would like to question you about your last encounters and relationship with Minghao, if you allow" "that would be no problem" I trust these officers and would be happy to share any information with them if that means we could get Minghao back. "Can we sit down?" The lady ask and I lead her to the dining table.

"Alright let me get my laptop" she sits down and rummage into her bag. "Would you like something to drink?" I ask to be polite. "Yes please, some water would be great thank you" I get her a glas of water and sit down opposite of her. "So tell me your relationship with Minghao from beginning till now" her fingers got ready to type. "I have lived in this neighborhood since birth and one day when I was 20 there was a boy struggling with some boxes at the other side of the street. I offered to help but he looked stunned at me. When he responded with 'yes please' I knew he was a foreigner. I asked him a lot of questions that day about where he was from and how old he was etcetera etcetera. I learned that he would go to the same university after summer vacation. When I was done helping him I offered to get some ice cream and a little tour around the neighborhood. We were joking around the whole time and he began to warm up to me so I asked him if he wanted to be friends and he happily accepted. Since that day we hang out almost 24/7 I helped him get a job at my job. Our job is now barista at Bukhansan keopi shop. We work on vacations and a few times in schoolweek weekends because of exams. We know everything about each other and always know each others wear about so I was really worried when he didn't show up to school yesterday and today. He never skips school and if he does, I know the reason and where he is. Now I don't and I am sure something happened to him" I just rattled what came to my mind and that poor lady was typing her ass off. "Alright to what university do you guys go to" she asks when she was finally done. "Seoul International University" I answer. "Okay and who are Minghao's friends besides you? Name and Surname please" "Yoon Jeonghan, Hong Jisoo or Joshua, Lee Chan or Dino, Boo Seungkwan, Kim Mingyu and Wen Junhui or Jun" I became a bit sweaty after saying Juns name because I know there was a chance that he's a criminal. He didn't act nor looked like it but their first encounter was a bit suspicious. "They all go to Seoul international University?" "Yes" I just pushed the thoughts to the back of my mind when the officer asks. "Do you think any of them would have a connection to Minghao's disappearance?" A lump forms in my throat. I gulp and the lady noticed my nervousness. "You can tell me anything and it would be anonymus okay? If you have any suspects in your mind right now, please tell me so we can get your friend back as soon as possible" she gave me a heart warming smile and I took a deep breath. **should I tell her? I want Ming back but what if it's not him or maybe it will get Ming in trouble...But it's the police, I can trust them right?** after a long dialogue in my mind I had decided. "Well...Jun seems a bit suspicious..." the lady gave me a comforting look for me to continue. "When Minghao first met him it was in an alley...they bumped into each other and Jun kinda used Minghao to cover up for police officers... he said he heard sirens up close and footsteps and was thrown against the wall when 2 police officers arrived and they walked away because they thought they were just some horny teenagers. Jun was a bit vage about what was going on and just ran off again, the next day we say him at our coffee shop and later we saw that he was a new student at our school in our class" I try to say in one breath. The police lady looks a bit taken away by all the information but she nods in satisfaction. "Thank you a lot Seokmin, this could help us a lot. We will try to get Minghao back as soon as possible, you did the right thing" she looks at her side and sees the other 2 people that came with her ready to leave. "We will contact you as soon as we get information on this case" and by that they walk out of the apartment. I look at my phone and see some missed calls from my mom. "I think I should go home miss, my mom wants me to eat" Miss Xu stands up and hugs me. "Thank you Dokyeom" she let go and I walk out of the apartment. "I will visite you soon" I close the door and walk home. **did I really do the right thing?**
