*George's POV*
Lucy and I always argue. We insult each other daily. And quite frankly, it may seem as if we dislike each other. We do not, I love her like my little sister. I've already lost her once this wretched year, I can't lose her again. I know the doctor said that she'll live, but she's in chronic pain, and I'm worried that this will... change her. If I felt all 206 bones broke, I'm sure I would change too and I know it's selfish for me to wish she stays the same, but I can't help it.
Speaking of change, I find it very interesting the sudden crush Kipps has developed on her this past month or so. Based on prior vulgar comments he has made, I already knew he was attracted to her but most of that was to piss Lockwood off, (and it always worked). But this feels... different, somehow, as if he has an emotional attachment as well. I am worried about Lockwood though, usually him seeing Kipps hold Lucy's hand especially while unconscious would blow his top, but he only looks beaten down and depressed.
"Hey, Lockwood, how are you holding up?" I said to him.
"Hm? Oh, I'm good George how 'bout yourself?" He replied chirpily.
Why the heck is he so giddy?
"Um I'm not that great considering what is and has happened, Lockwood." I answered.
He laughed and said, "Good one Georgie we should be happy, as of this second, we are closer to our impending death!"
Oh boy.
