(Hi! Welcome here <3, I hope that you are feeling alright since the last time ! ( I am sorry it kinda took a moment <3 Love you )

The night was already long, quiet and gloomy for everyone in the camp. They all found a way to sleep outside, to not be frozen. To not run away too. They always had been terrified about all that couldn't be under their control. About all which could have an effect on them, without them noticing or without them even realizing that they were not themselves. Porchay was one of those and even if some guards were watching, they weren't that close. They believed Kim, they believed because if this was true, they would be under control. At this game, everyone from the population was equal, it wasn't about money and hierarchy. It was about living in the same society and reproducing the same narrative, again and again, until another rumor would take the lead and scare them away.

The one about the Princess being a Prince was making sense now. If everyone was tricked in the castle it was because he used his magic. He might not be the Princess, he should have dead dolls, like every dark magician. They were terrified that his own army would come. And it was so logical, it gave logic to the irrational. They followed their own system, shared by more than just them and it pushed them further into believing that they were right. Porchay was now the epitome of their nightmares and to prevent him from waking up, they had poured, without asking again their authority, another tissue on his face. They didn't let their hierarchy talk but their fear and they were all exhausted. Their nerves were balancing between nervousness and sleepiness.

Kim was the only one to wait, faking his sleep. It was hard to not succumb to the call of the bed but he thought about Porchay and it was making him so frustrated that he couldn't work anymore. Not being able to do anything was complicated for him who always had been winning over his father since the beginning. The King's plans looked like working better and being obligated to be extremely careful was his own nightmare. He could have just taken Porchay and gone away but alone he would have been taken by the guards. He couldn't do it alone. He couldn't take any risk. For now the King wasn't revealing anything but if they were caught he might. His strategy was pretty good, accusing a man no one knew about.

If they revealed where he was from, a war would have already begun and from their side, it was never really great to begin a war in history books. He also just couldn't put Kim aside, Tankhun and Kinn would defend him and the population would remember that a member of the royal family had attacked his own kingdom. It wasn't good to keep the power. For now he was safe, with a kidnapped son and a criminal with no origins. All the possibilities were still on the outside, ready to be taken at each strike coming from the opposite side. Kim was the one being hit by his father's strategy and it had been a long time since he lost a game.

His thoughts were stopped by a loud gasp at his right. The captain was struggling, a tissue in his mouth to not let him scream and arms around his neck making him move uncontrollably before falling on the ground. Kim was astonished. He didn't hear anything from the outside. Where were the other guards ? What was happening ? Who was that man? He got all black clothes and no identity could be revealed as his face and hair were also covered under a black tissue. His eyes however didn't look like someone coming to kill or someone violent. It was as if his arms were moved by something more important than who he truly was. Kim didn't let his guard down and he stood up. He stayed like this, staring but not moving. He didn't let the man think that he was about to throw punches so his hands were calmly parallel to his body but he was ready to put them out. Ironically, he felt better now that he had an option to act. Now that he would choose to fight or to stay back. To move or to let things go their ways.

Kim's spirit was up again, delighted by the possibility of taking the advantage in the game. He saw the victory appearing in the blurry landscape he had. The man tried to be assured that the captain was sleeping, before taking his mask off. "You?" He said seeing Pete but not wanting to say his name, what if someone was still up to hear it ?
