(Hi <3 wishing you the greatest day/night <3 )
Kim was eyed by every soldiers on the way from the camp, to the royal stay of the King, an historical tower taken at the beginning of the war. They could feel their worries, stress, even anger, seeing someone they never heard about. The King's thoughts were to let everyone in the fog, to not have any revolt in the army, but because of it they missed how to recognize another Prince.
Porchay was walking ahead of Kim and the boy could see the younger Prince grabbing the void, as if he could metaphorically held Kim's hand. It hurt and soothed him at the same time, how far away they were and yet so close at heart.
"Is he...behind that door?" Porchay asked between coughes, understanding that it might be huge and long stairs to get to the top.
"Yes, he is Prince." The soldier said.
Porchay nodded. He began to open it, Kim wanted to follow, but a sword was put in front of him. Porchay turned around, alarmed, his eyes round of fear, before calming down when he saw Kim winked at him in a "I am in control of the situation way."
"Prince, we can't let someone we don't know close to the King."
"I understand." He briantly fakely said. "Kim stay with them. I will come back soon." He emotionlessly added, opening the door closing it, and sliding against it slowly.
Porchay was terrified at the idea of going up alone. He feared letting Kim alone with those trained by his father soldiers. He curled up for one minute, trying to calm down, breathing with difficulties, huggig his chest tightly and trying to concentrate. He would go there, win and get back to Kim. He will. He will. And repeating it for a long time, it began to feel real for his imagination.
—
Kim just sat on the ground. His hand near the knife in his trousers' pocket. He just politely smiled to the soldiers, trying to win his innocency and to surprise them to death. He wouldn't let Porchay alone facing his father. He wouldn't let another dangerous father near someone he loved. He would never allow it.
—
Porchay reached the top, opened the door and closed it. It was the last room of the tower, it wasn't somewhere to live in, it was full of dust but the King chair on the middle and the royal bed made it clear that this place was now his own kingdom.
"I told you to not come inside." He said, not looking at him, obseving through the window.
"F-father..." Porchay hardly said, this word having a bitter taste in his mouth.
