They called him a monster. They said he had a dark heart and empty soul. They thought him to be cold and ruthless, a completely irredeemable creature. But I saw him. I saw him as a bright blue flame in a world of madness.
I know that he's far from perfect. But he's real.
Monsters aren't born, they're created. And somewhere behind those dark, icy eyes is a person who's been strong for too long.

— Hi to whoever's reading this, ily <3. Basically I've been wanting to write a Maven fanfic for the longest time so I'm finally doing it. SPOILER ALERT: Yes I'm aware that he died at end of the series but I'm choosing to ignore that because I really wanted a redemption arc for him, and I will never get over how wrong they did him.
