(part 2)

Shielding himself from the upcoming bullets, Jeon JungKook, the senior in the undercover spy department, used the table nearby to protect himself and shot back right when he got a chance.

" They are overpowering us!", he yelled at his colleague.

" Should I use the bomb?", his colleague questioned.

" But we need to catch them alive!", he answered as he slid towards the others.

" Use the bomb as a distraction. Throw it on the wall. This way we will get a distraction and the wall of the other room will fall apart and we can rescue the hostages!" he shared his plan.

Everyone did as he ordered. They had control now. The gangsters they were fighting were arrested. The hostage girls were saved. Everything went perfectly.

" Good job everyone! Now make sure to question them and find out about the real bosss," JungKook approached the others and ordered them.

"Yes, sir!" the others replied and saluted him.

Some of them took away the gangsters, and the rest helped the girls and took them to the hospital. Meanwhile, JungKook sighed as yet again he failed to catch the real boss.

It's been a week since his partner died, and since then he's been trying to catch the real boss. In the midst of all this, he realized one thing, the girl he met that night. He searched about her as his curious self couldn't help but worry.

He wanted to make sure she went home safely that night, checking every house in that area; he got to know she wasn't from there. He asked some people to search for her, but he found out that she wasn't even from the country, her birth wasn't registered, and there was no information about her.

It was as if she was a ghost. He thought about it, but a ghost is always a human before dying, but her death wasn't registered either.

All this was very suspicious to JungKook.

"Maybe she was also one of the hostages? Did she run away? That's why she was in the alley? But the night suit didn't match the situation, she looked perfectly healthy and fine. She couldn't have been kidnapped. Who are you, Jung Soo hi?" JungKook asked himself all these questions while noting things in his diary.

His thoughts were interrupted as someone spoke, "Good job, JungKook! I knew I could trust you with the position of team leader," the general spoke.

JungKook shrugged himself off his overloading thoughts and looked at the general; at first he just stared at him with a poker face. Realization hit him, and he got up and saluted, " Thank you, sir!."

The general smiled and kept his hand on JungKook's shoulder. "I'm so proud of you. You know you are just like a son to me. I would be lonely without you," he chuckled.

JungKook smiled back, "Sir! That's why I asked you to get married already! Don't you think you should also have some fun at night?" JungKook joked as he winked at the general. General just massaged his temples as he had enough of all the teasing about getting old and being single.

JungKook chuckled as he went back to his seat.

General, known as General Ung. Full name: Cha Ung. He was in his mid-forties and still single, he used all his young days working and studying. He was a father-like figure to JungKook. JungKook didn't have any family; they were killed when he was young. At a very young age, this guy witnessed his parents' death. He was 10, very young, but he swore to himself that he would avenge his parents' deaths.

He always kept his promises. That day he saw his parent's murderer.

It took him 5 years; when he was 15, he collected all the proofs himself. He knew it was dangerous but he had to do it. That was the time when the teenage, troubled, and stubborn JungKook met Cha Ung. Cha Ung helped him; the murderer was caught.
