-Just before the heart spike-

Lucy's pov:

It's been a month since Natsu visited. I don't go to the guild that often anymore, it was hard to smile when he was away, but it's been even harder to do now and Lisanna constantly pestering about Natsu's scarf is getting old.

"We are back!" Cana and Gildarts voice brings me out of my thoughts, turning towards them like everyone else, we great them. They have been gone, since even before Natsu left, on a father and daughter bonding mission. Since the war Gildarts doesn't coddled Cana as much anymore and has started to help her train her magic.

Obviously just like everyone they where surprised to see Lisanna and they had the run down of everything that happened to her. Even with how annoying she is about Natsu the story still is heart wrenching.

"Where is Natsu by the way? I expected him to be asking for a fight already." Gildarts asks looking around, that got an eye rolls and glares thrown towards me and Happy.

"He's pissed and only talking to her and Happy and they won't tell us where he is!" Lisanna whines for the bazillionth time. "He doesn't even know I'm back yet."

"For the last time he's on a fucking long term mission." I say while banding my head against the table.

"Yo Lucy!" Cana calls out sitting next to me. "How come you are in your stardress?"

"She's always in her stardress because she doesn't want to hand over Natsu's scarf! He's my boyfriend! I should be the one keeping it safe." Her comment has both Gildarts and Cana spiting out their drinks, I don't even bother to glare anymore, it's to exhausting.

"Didn't you just say he doesn't know you're back?" Cana asks having recovered faster than Gildarts who still has a coughing fit.

"Well yeah, but I'm sure he will be once he gets back."

For some reason both Cana and Gildarts look towards me, I just ignore her and continue the conversation I was having with Happy.

Gildarts takes a sit next to her putting a hand on her shoulder. "I'm sorry, but that's not possible. A dragonslayer can only fall in love once and he's already in love." Gildarts tells her shocking the hell out of everyone except Happy and Cana.

As expected Lisanna looks at him pissed and shrugs his hand off her shoulder. "The hell do you know! You haven't even been around to be able to say that!" She yells.

Before Gildarts can say his reasoning Cana interjects. "He's telling the truth, I've read almost everyone's cards in the guild out of curiosity. You aren't the one that ends up with him." She says crypticaly.

"That's while he thought I was dead, read them again, it'll be me this time." Lisanna tells her confidently.

"He isn't here, I can't read his cards." Cana explains which gains a look from Freed, Levy and I, we all know what she just said isn't true, but why is she lying. "I can read your cards tho, I won't tell you who you end up with, but I can confirm it's not him."

Lisanna nods and looks attentively at the cards as Cana shuffles them and places them. Above the love card what's placed is a card of a wisp, I don't really know much about reading cards, but there's a few things that could mean. The two that I know are that her love could be dead or have a magic related to death or spirits. I hope it's the latter one, the possibility of ones soulmate being dead before even meeting its too crushing to even think about.

"See! That's a flame! It must mean Natsu!" Lisanna yells happily.

"No, that's the card of a wisp, it's a spirit." Cana explains looking through her deck and pulling out two cards. "This is the fire card and this is the dragon, both could represent Natsu, but you didn't get either. Hell-" She shuffles through pulling out even more cards. "The destruction and even demon card could represent Natsu. That's four I can think of the top of my head that could represent Natsu and you didn't get any. And before you say the wisp could represent him, no, it can't. I know how to read cards, this card could represent many people and he isn't one of them, plus when I draw the card I know exactly who it's representing, I know exactly who that card is referring to and it's not Natsu." Cana says getting agitated.

'Not to self never assume nor question Canas readings.' I think to myself while placing a hand on her shoulder to calm her down. "It's ok, she didn't mean to question your reading, she just got overly excited when she assumed it was a flame." I say as calmly as possible.

After a few minutes she's back to normal and laughing it off. I thought that was the end of it till Lisanna spoke again. "Read Lucy's cards." She tells Cana, gaining a fearful or worried look from most guild members.

"Uhhhh...that's not necessary, I don't have any interest in knowing what my cards say." I dismiss it trying to get her to forget it.

She shakes her head coming over to sit next to me. "Come on, I did it. You should do it to, it'd be weird if I'm the only one getting a reading done." She says with a wide somewhat creepy smile. I shake my head again, before I can suggest it being better for Mira to get a reading she starts to tear up. "Please, we haven't been able to bond together much." She fakes cries making me uncomfortable and part of the guild to glare at me.

"Fine." I relent nodding over to Cana when she looks over towards me. I know Cana can't fake a reading, it's part of her magic, even if she doesn't apply magic with her simply touching the cards they'll give the true reading.

Once it's done I can feel Lisannas nails digging into my arm where she's grabbing me. My past is the lone princess, my present is the stars, my future is the dragon, my love is the fire and my death is the demon. I have three out of four of the cards Cana said represent Natsu.

There's an awkward silence around the guild when Lisanna finally let's go of me and stands up. She starts pacing back and forth while clenching and unclenching her fist. I can tell she's trying not to really cry right now and it makes me feel guilty that I'm technically the cause of it. I stand up and walk over to her. We aren't close, but I wish we could be, I don't want to see her in pain.

"Lisan-" My words are cut off by the sound of a slap and a stinging in my cheek.

She slapped me. "Just shut up you fucking bimbo!" She yells, I don't know why that hurt more than the slap.

Holding I cheek I look at her shocked with tears in my own eyes. I never wanted to hurt her, I've actively tried to protect her from the truth and let her move on at her own pace. 'What did I do wrong? Why is she so mad at me?' I know logically it's because Natsu loves me, but I've tried so hard for her not to get hurt in all of this. 'Should I have pushed her on not wanting my cards read more...but the guild was already glaring at me what could I do.'

The guild is so silent you could hear a pin drop. Only when Gray spoke up did anyone move again. "Lucy." I look back towards him and he just points at my right arm.

Looking down I see the red veins that appeared after I wrote on the E.N.D book. Freaking out I screamed falling on my ass while looking around me trying to find someone that could maybe have an idea of what's going on, but everyone is either in shock or running around like headless chickens talking over each other.

Gray tried removing them again like he did during the war, but they wouldn't budge. He gave up and started pacing while mumbling under his breath, but finally before he or anyone else figured anything out they disappeared.

I knew I had to calm my heart rate for Natsu's sake, but nothing was working. Luckily Natsu helped and I felt his fire around me calming me down.
