chapter nine
shopping.

At the end of the day I had a class without Jaden, Lexi, or Reagan. It was boring I guess but I just put my AirPods in and did my work anyway.
Class dismissed and I put my laptop in my bag and the class goes silent for some reason, I don't notice until a seconds later as I had my AirPods in, but everyone's looking at me. I wander my eyes the class and I see Jaden resting against the door.
I groan. "Go away." He just laughs.
"Can you hurry up then?" He asks. Why is the class so quiet. It's so awkward so I start to rush to put all of my stuff in my bag.
"Why was they all looking at me?" I ask. I'm pretty sure he's famous or something. I'm not sure.
"I dont know." He says, putting his arm around me. He obviously doesn't want me to know so I kept quiet about it. "Guess where I'm taking you?"
"Where?"
"Shopping." He says. "I'm paying." He adds.
"No, your not. You don't even need to take me."
"You need an outfit for the party." I forgot about this stupid party.
"What if I already have an outfit?" I question.
"I want to make sure it's appropriate for you." He says, I look down at his hand and he holds onto my wrist for some reason.
"What do you mean?"
"You know what I mean." He replies sternly. I do know what he means. I look at my phone and get a text from Lexi.
Lexi are you still coming over today?

Maybe he does. I dont know how I feel about it though. The idea of having a boyfriend sounds nice though I'm just terrified I'll get hurt.
"You okay?" Jaden asks me, sliding his hand into mine so their locked together.
"Mhm." I say.
"I need words."
"I'm okay." I say.
"Good." He replies. "We're gonna walk, it's not even that far."
"I know." I nod. It was a long walk and he wound me up the whole time but we finally got to the mall and people kept looking at me as Jaden had his arm around my shoulder. The attention I'm getting from him is odd. It's not that I 'like' him because he's famous, it's just I'm not even used to getting attention from a boy let alone people staring at me.
"Here!" I squeal, very excited to go to this shop I really like. I drag his hand with me.
"Your such a girl." Jaden says. We walk around the store and look at clothes. Until I found a perfect dress.
"I found one!" I shout, Jaden's just on his phone, when he notices me talking he immediately turns it off and puts it in his pocket.
"Okay show me," he commands. I pick the dress I want from the hanger and show him it.

He looks at it for a moment. His jaw kind of clenches a little. And then he smirks.
"Okay." He nods. I then find a lovely pair of heels and we start to walk to the till. It's our turn to pay and I put the dress and the shoes on the counter and get my phone out to use Apple Pay. "How much is it?"
"Jaden." I stress.
"I said how much Cindy." God, he's so fucking handsome. "It's fine. Im the one offering. Calm yourself."
"That is Princess treatment at its finest." The counter lady comments, I start to go red so I put my face to the floor in embarrassment. She was so pretty. As I'm looking at the floor from my shyness Jaden has already paid for my dress.
"I know right. Have a nice day." Jaden says, putting all of my stuff in a shopping bag.
"Have a nice day!" I also say, we both walk out of the store. "I'll pay you back right now, I'm sorry." He puts his arm around my waist and re assures me.
"No." He says strictly. "Don't do that."
"One hundred percent?"
"Yes!" He groans. He lifts up my hands and does a pinky promise with me. "I pinky promise. Now let's go home. I'm tired."
