MARINA

I woke up to banging noises coming from the door.
Shit I forgot I locked it,but wait all my bruises aren't covered. Then I hear the door that locks, I quickly hide myself under the covers.
"Marina, are you awake?" The I recognized her voice, it was Ava.
"Miss we need to arrange some things for the wedding" Ava said

"Uhm yeah, I'll come to the kitchen" I say as I'm scared to show myself, my fathers words are still in my head, even though he isn't around, I'm still scared
"Marina, you don't even know where the kitchen is" fuck, I'm not a good liar
That's when I take the covers out of my face.
She gasped in disbelief.

"Oh my lord, what happened miss?"she asks still shocked
"Listen, Dante can't know anything about what I'm going to say now to you ok?" I say as she nods
"Can you please close the door, nobody can hear"I ask politely, I was scared cause if I said it, she will probably tell everyone, but you know what? Fuck it, i kinda trust her.

She comes back and sits on the bed—
"My father did this to me,— she gasped again—
He is doing this to me since I was little, he practically hates me because of my mothers death"I start to cry while explaining to her
"I-I have multiple scars from him on my body, he used to abuse me day and night, thats why I asked you yesterday for disinfectant, it was to cure my bruises and cuts"i continue saying
Tears are pouring from my face, I was a river of tears
"H-he sometimes would be r-r-raping me"I say as words are stuck in my throat
"This is why I have so many mental and physical issues,"I continue saying
"I have lots of death wishes, and school make it worse, my bullies maked my insecurities worse, then they already were" I say as she is crying with me
"Oh my god, it feels nice to let it out" I say as I giggle a bit while I dry my tears with my hands.
She suddenly pulls me into a hug, it felt nice, it was my first time receiving a hug from someone.

"I'm glad I have you here, but please don't tell anyone ok?" I ask hoping she would agree
"Yes miss, but may I ask why?"she asks me
"It's my father, he said that if I ever told someone about this he would spill blood.." I say
"Don't worry Marina, I won't be telling anyone"she assures me.

"Well it's time for breakfast, I'll accompany you" she says
"Okay but first I need to cover this mess" o say pointing at my face
"Fine with me, let me help you"
We go to my makeup station and cover up gently my bruises, she knew how to put make up on someone, for the first time I didn't look like some clown. As she finished she put some fixing powder on me

"Okay, now we can go"she now says

We arrive to the living room, where there was a massive dinner table.
There where all kind of foods, sweets, fruits, salty, vegetables. Like I said, EVERY FUCKING KIND.
I sit down, I was all alone with only Ava that was standing by my side.
"Why don't you eat Ava?" I ask
"I can't Marina,this is my job, assisting you while only you eat"she answers
"Oh come on, no one's here, besides I can't eat all of this food"I say, and it was true, she was like a friend to me and I wanted her to do things with me, she won't assist to what I do, she WILL DO what I do too if she wants obviously, I mean I don't want her to feel uncomfortable and pressured.

She finally sits with me and eats with me, we talked a lot, we got to know each other better.
But one question flew in my mind..
Why would Dante want to marry me, if he isn't here at all. I mean, if he wanted to marry me so he could use me, why wouldn't he do it now.
Not like I want him to use me like an object like my father did, but I still do not understand.
