At night a canister of filled with mutagen rolled down the street of New York City

Alexa: 13 years ago something happened

The canister hit a wall and broke in an alleyway where 3 year old Lizzie was petting a cat

Alexa: we were just walking home

Then the cat ran in an alleyway and Lizzie followed it

Alexa: and you found some strange goo

Lizzie found the mutagen instead of the cat but still touched it. She immediately turned into a black cat

Alexa: whatever that goo was it transformed you into a anthropomorphic cat

Alexa picked up Lizzie and went home

Alexa: I promise I'll find a cure

Alexa: you may have looked different but your still my daughter and I love you no matter what

Lizzie wasn't paying attention at all and was sitting on the couch watching YouTube on her phone

Lizzie: yep I know mom you've told me this story a thousand times

Alexa: you used to love that story

Lizzie: I still do but I'm not a kid anymore

Alexa: wait are you using social media? I told you-

Lizzie: 'I can't post anything or people will know I'm not human and freak out. only go outside when your ears and tail are hidden and never tell anyone your secret' I remember everything you say and i don't have social media just YouTube, messages so you can call me and some apps. that's it

Alexa: good. I know this hard for you

Lizzie: but I want to go to school make friends go to prom get a boyfriend

Alexa: Elizabeth you are in over your head you don't know the whole story

Lizzie got mad and stood up

Lizzie: who's fault is that?

Alexa: I'm keeping you safe!

Lizzie: I don't need your protection!

Lizzie ran into her room and slammed the door shut.

She sat on her bed put on her headphones and played one of her favorite songs

When the song ended Lizzie heard a knock on her door even with her headphones on

Alexa: Lizzie I know your upset but I see an amazing change in you so don't hold back for anyone. the farther you go the prouder I'll be

Lizzie: ...thanks mom. I just need some time to think

Alexa: I'll be here when your ready to talk

Lizzie heard Alexa walked away and then took out her ninja scythe from under her bed

Lizzie: time to fight some crime

She snuck out through her window
