Leaving the plane, Rob was still walking next to me and kept talking about how cool it would be on the tour bus together but my mind wasn't following him but the dark haired boy walking at the far front. You live your life, you go in shadows.
Ryan and Josh were off to grab some coffee. Something in me was telling me to talk to Ryan about my anxiety since he felt very comforting. It was just his aura and kindness which made me feel very secure. My gut was telling me that, so I believe I should just go with the feeling. I would have to take him aside in a good and fitting moment.
Elijah was standing next to the entrance of the airport and Rob and I were standing a few meters away. We were told by the manager that a van was going to pick us up, so it was the three of us waiting and the other two getting us coffee. I couldn't even tell what was Rob telling me or talking about in this current moment. Elijah seemed so stressed and kept throwing his hands up in the air whilst angrily speaking into his phone. What he was saying exactly is something I couldn't tell but I would say that he was in a really bad mood. Well, since he was standing at the entrance and Rob and I were still inside the airport it was quite crowded and noisy, I wouldn't probably understand what he was saying even if he was right next to me. The front, well better said, the entrance were just glas walls and a big glas spinning door thing. Yet it felt like there was the biggest brick wall separating him and me. I look to you and I see nothing.
"Mirella, are you even here?", Rob said waving in front of my face with his hand and his rings and bracelets, complementing the view of his hand very well.
"I am so sorry Rob, what were you saying?", she replied nervously, afraid of the fact that he caught her starring too hard.
"What's with you staring at Elijah so much? You already in love with him?", Rob said mockingly and let out a laugh. Of course.
"Nah, I'm just wondering what Elijah is so fed up about.", she said unbothered by him trying to mock her.
"It's probably Liv, since she can be very toxic at times. She's very possessive and controlling and she makes it very very hard for Elijah to be happy. I just hope they break up as soon as possible. I really dislike her, since he really needs someone to bring out the good in him not whatever that is.", he said stretching out his harm directing to his fed up friend at the other side of the glas wall. Mirella's eyes followed his arm and found herself looking at Elijah again. I look at you and I see nothing. She found herself being sad about the fact that he was not happy too. That girl was like some kind of night into your darkness that colors your eyes with something what's not there.
"Yeah.", is all Mirella could say. It was none of her business to say anything to that nor have an opinion to his relationship. It was best for her to just shut off this feeling of care for Elijah. She felt like she had to care about him after he held her hand on the plane in return. Looking down at her hands, she still hoped to feel the warmth of hands touching hers again, but they were cold and looking lonely hanging on her body like that. They seemed useless without the warmth. She held her own hands and intertwined them with one another to give herself the comfort back. I wanna hold the hand inside of you.
She has never held hands with anyone before. I think its strange you never knew."Did y'all miss me?", Ryan said announcing his return. Josh was following him and gave me a small wave followed by his warm smile. Josh walked over to me since Rob and Ryan were busy planning on which bunkbed who would get.
"Hadn't had the chance to talk to you, love. How have you been? How was the flight? Did you get along with Elijah?", he asked taking a sip of his coffee. Now the both of them were looking over to the lead singer, who was separated from everyone else outside. Now he was smoking stressed, not standing still properly. Mirella looked back to Josh to answer his questions.
"I have never been on a plane before. I mean I was quite nervous but for now I would say I am doing great.", Mirella said, forcing a smile. She was quite anxious thinking about the time ahead with everyone and the tours and stages. All the first times for everything ahead of her.
"You don't have to worry that much Mirella. There is a lot of things we do for the first time each day too. And then when you think back, it has just become a nice memory to look back to.", Josh said nicely and swung an arm around her, squeezing her shoulder gently. He pulled away and suggested for us to go outside, which everyone agreed with.
I really shouldn't have packed so much stuff, my back is killing me and there was this sharp pain tracing down my spine. Arriving outside Elijah crushed his cigarette under his boots. Ryan directly walked up to his friend and gave him a coffee too. He swung an arm around him and asked "How are you doing my friend, whats on your mind?". He tried to bring back a smile on his face and it worked after he messed up his hair to annoy him. Elijah was smiling again and after Ryan pushed his head down, our eyes met when he got up straight again. And then smiles cover your heart. He was just quickly looking at me before trying to fix his hair again. I cant help it but fade into you.
"Is she coming too?", Josh asked Elijah out of the blue.
"I think so, she said she will be in Paris soon.", Elijah replied and seemed to be embarrassed that his friends already knew what was coming. Everyone went quiet and Mirella was left confused after the lack of information from that quick conversation. She didn't dare to ask about it since that seemed to be a sensitive topic.
"Mirella, there will be another female joining us on our tour for a while. Lets hope the both of you get along well so y'all could have fun together doing girly stuff.", Ryan said enthusiastically.
I looked over to Elijah since I felt him starring at me from the side. He then fixed his coat. It was quite cold.
I just nodded in response to Ryan, not knowing what to say exactly.I should call Nat.
"I need to make a call really quickly if thats okay?", Mirella said turning to Rob holding her phone.
"Do whatever you want, love.", he said laughing at her for even asking in first place. The phone rang a few times on the other line but unfortunately Nat didn't pick up. Shes probably at work right now.
When she joined the group again, a big van pulled up which seemed destined for them.
I walked up to the back of the Van when Rob just the bag off of my shoulder and told me to just sit in the van. He seemed to notice the goosebumps covering my exposed legs, shivering in this cold month. I just went to the back and tried to warm up whilst the boys were loading in our stuff in the trunk. My hands were so cold that they started changing in color.
After the boys were done, thy played rock, paper, scissors to decide on where who was going to sit. And of course Elijah ended in the back with me followed by Ryan. Elijah apparently lost, so he had to take the middle seat. The van started driving and I couldn't get my eyes off of the view, the busy streets and so much people passing by. What I found most beautiful, were the houses and building that looked like a personification of romance. Not long into the ride Elijah started to speak to me which I found very unexpected.
"Mirella, are you good. Your hands look pale and blueish?", he asked worriedly making Rob and Josh even turn their heads from the front seats.
"Ehh, yeah Im fine, just a little cold thats it. Don't worry I'll be fine.", she replied and forced up a smile to take his worry whilst she put one of her hand onto the other. He suddenly placed one of his hand on top of hers to see if they were in fact cold or even real at this point. He seemed mad about the fact that I didn't take care of myself properly. Shortly after, he quickly pulled away his hand and took his coat off to cover my hands and legs.
"Thank you", Mirella said shyly.
"Don't worry about it.", he said adjusting the coat just a little more. His attention was brought back to his phone whilst mine was still fixed on his hands. I felt something starring at me and not to my surprise, when I looked up trying to meet the eyes staring, I found Rob's cocky smile, accompanied by his eyebrows wiggling at me. I tried to remain a serious face but I just couldn't get myself to not smile, so looking out the window was a great escape from the current mocking from the boy in front of me.
A stranger's heart without a home.
