Bills POV –

Tom and I sat in silence watching the doctor walk into Ashley's room. "What is he doing?" I asked Tom bluntly.

"Discharging her" he said with a huff as he shuffled in his seat. I could tell he felt bad for what had just happened in the room only just a couple of minutes ago, but he was too stubborn to admit it to me.

"I'm going to call home" I said as I stood up grabbing my phone from my back pocket. Tom stayed in his place not even acknowledging me. I rolled my eyes as I put my phone to my ear slightly walking away.

"Hey Bill, what happening with Ashley?" Melissa asked in a happy tone. She seemed excited to talk to me which made me feel warm inside.

"She has just been discharged, we will be home in half an hour. Make sure you let the guys know." I said. I couldn't wait to get home to see Mel but honestly, I was terrified for Ashley. I had no idea what Tom had planned for her, and I feared that Mel would leave seeing the way her best friend was being treated.

Tom's POV –

I was still sitting in front of Ashley's room, staring deeply through the glass door trying to think of my next move when the nurse who had gone in there to help Ashley, made her way out and stood in front of me breaking my trance.

"She's ready for you." She quickly said before walking away. I stood up, adjusting my black tank top before making my way into Ashley's room. She was standing in the bathroom tying her long red hair in a high messy bun, slightly adjusting it. She was wearing one of my shirts and a pair of shorts that Mel had grabbed for her to wear. I just stood there observing her beauty. Even covered in bruises she still managed to look good.

"You ready?" I asked looking her up and down. She turned around to face me. I could tell she was angry, it was written all over her face but quite frankly I didn't care. She slowly walked towards me. Then making a stop right in front of me. She tilted her head upwards looking me straight in the eyes.

"You're not letting me go, are you?" she said low
while tilting her head to the side.

I placed one of my hands gently on her cheek, the other around her waist pulling her close to me before softly saying "No sweetheart, you belong to me now." A grin made its way across my face as I felt her flinch at my words.

Ashley's POV -

Hearing Tom's words made my insides turn. I could feel the heat of his body radiate onto mine as he held me close. Although I hated Tom and wanted nothing more than to see him finally get what he deserves, I liked the closeness between us. Looking deep into his dark eyes I could tell he wasn't as bad as he made himself look, but there was no way I was going to let myself fumble. I broke from Tom's clutch and stormed over to the door leaving him behind.

I walked out to see Bill leaning against the wall opposite to my room. He made his way over to me with a small smile across his face before putting his arm around me and leading me towards the exit of the hospital. I felt somewhat safe with Bill. I could tell he was very kind-hearted which is why I had no problem walking with him. I could hear Tom walking behind us, each step getting louder and louder. We soon came to a stop at their cars.

"You're going to be okay Ashley" Bill said in a soft voice before making his way over to his car. His words filled me with a sense of hope and confidence. I knew I was going to be okay, I knew I could be strong and get through this.

My body filled with irritation as I felt Tom's hand firmly grip around my arm. "What?" I snapped as he pulled me towards him. I was expecting him to hit me or threaten me for the way I talked to him, but instead he just started deep into my eyes, not making a sound. I couldn't help but stare back. Yes, I hated him, but I couldn't deny that he was one of the sexiest men I've ever come across. Our faces slowly became closer and closer as the tension between us grew.
