"Alright then, we're going" Tom said as he clapped his hands together with a grin.

Ashley's POV

I fluttered my eyes open as I let my body stretch. I slowly sat up with a sigh. I turned my head to Tom to see he was still sleeping. I curled into a ball next to him, letting my head rest on his shoulder. I let my fingers trail up and down his body as he slept soundly. We laid contently before I felt him begin to wake up. He began to slowly open his eyes, then let out a small smile. He placed both hands on either side of my cheeks, pulling me in for a kiss.

"Morning" I said softly as I pulled away.

"Good morning baby" he grinned before kissing me once again.

I slowly pulled away with a smile before saying, "big night tonight".

"Sure is" he said with a sigh as his hands moved from my face downs to my hips.

He tapped his hands against my hips as he began to move. I slowly sat up and watched as Tom got up from the bed making his way to the bathroom. I combed through my hair with my fingers and threw the covers off my legs. I climbed off the bed before leaving the room. I slowly walked downstairs and noticed the mess from last night. I let out a groan before walking into the kitchen. I opened one of the cupboards in pulled out a large trash bag. I dragged myself into the living room and started to pick up the bottles and glasses that were scattered across the room. I threw all the bottles into the bag, pushing it aside, then picking up the cups and bringing them to the sink. I grabbed a few things to clean with and brought them into the living room. I quickly mopped the floors then sprayed and wiped down the table. I looked at the large clock on the wall, it was already afternoon. I sighed low to myself. I hated waking up this late. It made me feel useless.

I put everything back before grabbing the bag and throwing it over my shoulder as I began to walk outside. I dumped the bag into the bin and let out a groan. I walked back closer to the door, my eyes glued to the floor. I soon stood before blood stain on the concrete. Flashbacks of Katya's death swarmed my mind as I continued to walk. I quickly walked over the stain, shaking the thoughts out of my head before making it inside. I slammed the door behind me and sighed.

I walked back into the kitchen holding my head. I was so hungover, I felt sick. I opened the pantry grabbing the first thing I saw. I pulled out a bag of chips and threw them onto the bench. I dragged myself to the cupboards, grabbing a large glass and filling it with cold water. I took a large sip as I leant against the bench. My head was pounding. I quickly searched for some pain reliever and took some. I swallowed it down with another sip of water then grabbed my chips and walked back to the living room. I slumped down into the couch and began to eat my chips and slowly sip on water.

Tom's POV

I walked into the bathroom and lightly shut the door behind me. All I could think about was the race tonight. I hated the way the new guy Jai made me look in front of the crowd. He made me out to seem weak. There was no way I was going to let him embarrass me like that in front of anyone again. Not only did he cheat and win, but he made me feel like an idiot for the way I was treating Ashley. It's not that she was an embarrassment or someone to be ashamed of, she's just the first girl I've tried to be different for and now that people were noticing I couldn't help but panic. Everyone knows me as a threat and people know and have seen I treat girls with no respect, but now that I've slightly tried to change, privately, I seem 'weak'.

I stood in front of the sink and turned on the tap. The cold water began to run as I cupped my hands underneath it. I splashed my face with the water and grabbed the small towel beside me, patting my face dry. I let out a small sigh as I threw the towel aside and left the bathroom. I opened the door to notice that Ashley was gone. I assumed she must've been doing something downstairs or with the other girls, so I began to start getting my things ready. I walked towards my closet and chose two of my favourite guns. I quickly grabbed a few things to clean them and made my way over to the small sofa in my room, off to the side. I sat down with a huff and turned on the TV. I let TV play in the background as polished my guns, but not even that could drown out my thoughts. The race was no longer my biggest stress, it was Ashley.
