LASHAY
"are you sure Lashay, I can take this case" My middle aged coworker Azria says pushing the files to me.
"yes i'm sure, i'm tired of these boring ass cases like speeding tickets. I need something more exciting" I say standing up straight fixing my blazer suit
"i just wanna make sure because this case is literally crazy" she says flipping through the papers.
"I don't think she did it though" I say and she looks up staring at me as if i'm crazy. "She was literally found in the room with the 4 dead bodies" she says standing up straight
"Let's take into account they were supposedly her friends and plus, traffic cams show her car coming to the house literally like 10 minutes before the police arrived"
"There's no way she could've killed all 4 of those people in under 10 minutes, then have time to hide the murder weapon" i follow up and she nods understanding what i'm saying
"She had to have been framed, the 911 call happened before she even got to the house" I say and she looks at me for a second before smiling
"I honestly think you might be ready for the big cases" she says making me smile.
"Well i'm glad at least you have some faith in me, you know everyone else been leaving the smaller cases to me, cause they don't trust me to take on the bigger ones" i frown a little
"Your 22, new, the youngest and prettiest person in this firm..who wouldn't be jealous" she says making my smile return to my face.
"Ok well i gotta go meet with the same client, wish me luck" i say picking up the folder with the papers in it before leaving the office heading down stairs of the police building
i walk past a few doors before stopping at one and opening the door.
"You want something to drink" the police officer speaks to my client but i interject. "No she doesn't" i say walking in and my eyes turn to my client making my mouth drop a little not expecting her to be so attractive
Her eyes meet mine and i see a small smirk form on the side of her lips before turning her eyes back to the officer. "What she said" she co-signs me
"I'd like to speak with my client alone" I say closing the door behind me and the police officer looks at me for a second before standing up about to leave but i stop him.
