Hello! I'd like to thank you first and foremost for reading my story, it means quite a lot to me to have people interested in my work. Secondly, I'd like to apologize for the time between chapters. Life gets hectic and with summer in full swing, my job gets a lot more stressful than usual. I just wanted to assure you my dear reader(s) that I haven't abandoned this project, and a new chapter should be expected soon!
I also just got some new source material to incorporate into the story. I got an actual copy of "The Egyptian Book of The Dead" to really get my head around these funeral practices so I can better represent them in the story in a more respectful and historically accurate way. I've also padded my library with books on Egyptian history and deities to really wrap my head around where I can potentially go with this story after the plot of The Mummy ends (and maybe The Mummy Returns). I feel like I can take Lydia and Ardeth's adventures the extra mile and shine a light on the work the Akashic Guardians do. I've got a lot of ideas percolating in the old gray matter that I can't wait for you to see!
