We painfully land on the island in the living room at the Academy. Five had a more painful landing than me, since he landed on top of the briefcase.
"Ow!" I exclaim. "Shit! That hurt!"
"You guys..." I hear Klaus groan. "Am I still high or do you see them too?"
I sit up, holding my side. "Both..."
"Five, Y/n, where have you two been?" Luther asks. "You were suppose to be here, like, forty-ish minutes ago."
We both climb off the island, where Allison immediately catches me, since I almost fell face first onto the ground.
"Are you guys alright?" She asks, obviously concerned. I guess that's just her mother's instinct though. Yeah. There are plenty of magazines with pictures of her kid, Clarie.
Luther, who has a hold of Five, asks. "Who did this?"
Five grabs Allison's coffee cup out of her hand. "That's irrelevant." He walks away from everyone, quickly drinks some of the coffee and turns toward us. "So, the apocalypse is in three days. The only chance we have to save the world is, well, us."
"The Umbrella Academy." Luther says, stating the obvious.
I lean up against the island, crossing my arms. "No shit! You're such a dumbass..."
Klaus pumps his fist toward me. "Yeah! You tell him, sis!" Which, of course, only left Luther to glare at me.
Five nods. "Yeah. The Umbrella Academy, but with me this time. So, if y'all don't get your sideshow acts together and get over yourselves, we're screwed. Who cares if Dad messed us up? Are we going to let that define us?"
Klaus shakes his head. "No."
"That's the spirit, Klaus." I cheer him on, as he did me. I would give him a nice slap on the back, but I don't feel like moving. I really just want to go to sleep right now.
"And to give us a fighting chance to see next week, we came back with a lead." He holds up the paper with the name on it. "We know who's responsible for the apocalypse."
Allison reaches for the paper and Five willingly gives it to her. "This is who we have to stop."
"Harold Jenkins?" She asks.
"Who's Harold Jenkins?" Diego asks, looking at the both of us.
Five drinks what's left of the coffee and throws the cup behind him. "We don't know...yet."
I sigh to myself. "If only we did know who he-" I have a flashback to when we were kids.
We successfully completed another mission and Dad is driving us back to the Academy. I'm feeling very drained right now, since I had to hold a really heavy fallen structure for a long time, thanks to a certain asshole.
I lean my head against the window and watch as we pass buildings, when someone taps my shoulder. I look back over my shoulder at Five. "Hm?"
"Are you okay?" He asks.
"Not really. Luther took forever getting all the captives out of that hole and holding that pillar up for so long really drained the energy out of me." I sigh, knowing I'm about to get yelled at by Luther.
"Then maybe you should've moved the pillar somewhere else." Luther suggests from the front seat.
I roll my eyes. "There was no room to put it anywhere else and you know that, asshat!"
