Y/N: Well, that's something you don't see every day. Little guy's full of surprises!

After the shocking encounter with the giant Plort, you couldn't help but feel a mix of amusement and disbelief. The pink slime's excitement seemed to have led to this extraordinary result. Chuckling to yourself, you collected the massive Plort and stored it safely in your Plort Market storage. Feeling accomplished and ready to take a break from the constant back-and-forth, you decided to explore your surroundings a bit. You strolled through the lush green fields surrounding your ranch, the air filled with the pleasant aroma of wildflowers and grass.

You noticed a rocky area a little further from your ranch as you wandered. It was a rocky outcrop with a few trees scattered about, and it piqued your curiosity. You hadn't ventured that way before, so you thought exploring and seeing if there were any unique slimes or resources might be fun. As you approached the rocky area, you heard some peculiar noises. Curious, you tiptoed closer to investigate. Hiding behind a large boulder, you peeked out to see what was causing the ruckus. To your surprise, you spotted a group of rock slimes playfully bouncing and tumbling around.

Y/N: Well, well, well! What do we have here? Rock slimes, huh? They're adorable!

The rock slimes were round and rocky in appearance, with tiny crystals embedded on their surface. Their giggles and giggles echoed through the rocky terrain, and you couldn't help but be captivated by their charm.

Y/N: Well, aren't you guys just the coolest little slimes ever? The spin-dashing is definitely a plus.

As you stood there, the rock slimes noticed your presence and turned to look at you with their round, crystalline eyes. They also seemed curious about you, and a few of them started rolling closer to investigate, their adorable antics making you chuckle. Remembering Beatrix's notes, you decided it would be best to observe them for a while before attempting to feed them. Unlike the pink slimes, they didn't seem interested in the Hen Hens you had brought along. You then remembered something Beatrix had mentioned about rock slimes in the notes she left you.

Y/N: Ah, right! Rock slimes don't eat meat; they must have a different diet.

Thinking on your feet, you hurried back to the ranch house and grabbed some vegetables from your garden. You returned to the rocky area and threw a few carrots toward the rock slimes. To your delight, they immediately rushed to the food and started munching away.

Y/N: Well, it seems we have a winner! They love carrots!

The rock slimes happily consumed the carrots, and as they did, you noticed their plorts forming inside them. It was quite a sight to behold, the little crystals on their bodies sparkling as they produced their plorts, and before long, you had a group of friendly rock slimes following you around like loyal companions too.

Y/N: Hehe, guess I'm taking you guys back with me, huh? These plorts are so cool looking too! I can't wait to add them to the Plort Market. I'm gonna make so much cash!

Unfortunately, though, the moment you went to Vac up the plorts, you also learned that the rock slimes were a bit mischievous in their own way

Unfortunately, though, the moment you went to Vac up the plorts, you also learned that the rock slimes were a bit mischievous in their own way. They loved to roll and bump into each other, causing a cascade of rocky plorts to drop from their bodies and scatter all around. It was like watching a natural plort dispenser in action.

Y/N: Oh, I see how it is. You're just playing hard to get with your plorts, huh?

You chuckled at their playful nature, collecting the rocky plorts as they dropped. With a full pack of plorts and a sense of accomplishment, you decided to head back to the ranch. The sun was setting on the horizon, casting a warm glow over the range. Back at the ranch, you deposited the rock slimes into their new corral and admired them from a distance. They seemed happy in their new home, bouncing around with enthusiasm. You knew that with their help, your ranch would flourish even more.

Y/N: Ah, this is nice. My first full day on the ranch with nothing crazy happening to me, nothing gets better than this.

You sighed happily, completely ready to end the day on a relaxing high...before a lone rock slime seemingly bounced over to you from out of nowhere before rolling right over your foot, and a single painful tear fell from your eye.

Y/N: ...AAAAAAH!!

Hiya Y/N! Ogden Ortiz

The name's Ogden Ortiz

The name's Ogden Ortiz. I'm a slime rancher much like yourself and a friend of Beatrix's, but I mostly fancy myself as a farmer. I came to the Far, Far Range to grow fruits and veggies the way we used to back on earth: by getting down into the soil and getting your hands dirty.

Did you know that carrots improve your night vision? Yeah, seriously, they do! I don't see why all ranchers aren't just gobbling them down every chance they get. Being lost out on the range at night can be so dangerous...

Well, don't let me ramble on ya here. We'll be in touch via the Range Exchange. I tend to only raise slimes that eat fruits and veggies, so expect those kinds of requests from me.

Lookin forward to doing business with ya!

O.O.

P.S. - Ever heard of gilded ginger? It's a mythical veggie that is said to be the favorite food of the equally mythical gold slime. But some say that neither of them actually exists!
