The following morning, you awoke to the gentle rays of sunlight streaming through your bedroom window. The excitement from your first Jetpack test flight still lingered in your mind despite the less-than-stellar crash landing the day before. Today, you had a new adventure in mind. The prospect of exploring the Indigo Quarry, a place you had only ever read about from Beatrix's holo messages.

After a hearty breakfast and a quick check on your slimes, you equipped your VacPack and Jetpack, ready to embark on your journey. The Indigo Quarry was known for its stunning blue rock formations and the possibility of discovering rare resources, although left entirely abandoned due to a failed mining project long ago. It was said that some of the most valuable treasures on the Far, Far Range could be found deep within its winding caves and tunnels.

As you ventured out from your ranch, the vibrant colors of the range greeted you once again. The distant sounds of slimes playing and the chirping of the Pink Phosphor Largos filled the air. With each step, you felt the thrill of exploration, knowing that this day held the promise of new discoveries.

Y/N: Alrighty, Indigo Quarry, here I come!

The path to the Indigo Quarry was a bit treacherous, requiring precise jetpack maneuvers to cross gaps and scale cliffs. But with each successful leap and glide, you grew more accustomed to the controls, your confidence soaring along with your altitude, and after a short while, as the new morning sun shined high, you finally made it.

Y/N: Holy hell, Beatrix wasn't kidding. This place looks like an entirely new world.

You whispered to yourself as you approached the Quarry. The blue rocks that gave it its name became more and more prominent. The terrain was rugged, filled with craggy hills and crevices, and the air was tinged with a hint of mystery. You touched down at the Quarry's entrance, marveling at the enormous cavern that lay before you. Towering stone pillars stretched upwards, and the walls glistened with the distinctive blue hue that was unique to this place.

As you delved deeper into the quarry, you couldn't help but notice the unique flora and fauna that called this place home. Giant mushrooms towered overhead, and strange, spiky fruits dangled from vines. It was a world of its own, waiting to be explored.

Y/N: I wonder what kind of Slimes live in a place like this?

With excitement bubbling inside you, you carefully made your way deeper into the quarry, your VacPack at the ready to collect any valuable resources or new slimes you might come across. You navigated through narrow passages, climbed rocky outcrops, and even found yourself sliding down a gentle slope, unable to contain your childlike wonder as you explored. As you turned a corner, you suddenly heard an unusual noise, a faint, rhythmic jingling sound. It was unlike anything you'd heard on the ranch before. Curiosity piqued, you cautiously followed the sound, and as you rounded another corner, your eyes widened with surprise.

Before you stood a group of slimes unlike any you had ever seen; they were small and spherical, with vibrant green bodies that seemed to glow with an eerie, radioactive aura. Their gel-like skin rippled with pulsating waves of energy, and they moved in a coordinated manner, almost dancing to the strange rhythm of their jingling. These were the adorably dangerous Rad Slimes.

Y/N: Whoa, Rad Slimes! I've read about these guys better be careful not tryna die anytime soon

Y/N: Whoa, Rad Slimes! I've read about these guys better be careful not tryna die anytime soon.

You watched the Rad Slimes from a safe distance, marveling at their unique appearance and behavior. It was clear that they were unlike any other slimes you had encountered on the ranch.

Y/N: I wonder if I can capture some of these Rad Slimes for my ranch. They could be a great addition!

Carefully, you approached the Rad Slimes, keeping a respectful distance to avoid their potentially harmful radiation. You had to think fast about how to safely capture them. Remembering your lessons from Beatrix, you decided to use a special containment device designed for Rad Slimes. It was a reinforced VacPack attachment with a lead-lined chamber to contain their radiation.

With a few skillful shots from your VacPack, you managed to capture a few Rad Slimes without harming them or exposing yourself to their radiation. You placed them in your VacPack's special containment chamber, ensuring their safety and yours.

Y/N: Alright, little guys, you're coming with me. Let's see how you like life on the ranch.

As you continued your exploration of the Indigo Quarry, you couldn't help but feel a sense of accomplishment. Capturing Rad Slimes was no easy task, but you were determined to take good care of them and learn more about their unique needs. The quarry had already proven to be a place of adventure and discovery, and you couldn't wait to see what other surprises it held in store for you.

RE: The Big Storm

Ashle

I got your mail: of course, I remember that day. I feel like that was when you and I really got to know one another after so many years of just...hovering around. You invited everyone out to see one of your shows when that massive storm hit, and I still can't believe they allowed you to play through it, but you were absolutely incredible!

It was raining so hard afterward that the streets were flooding, and we ended up getting separated from everyone else and took shelter in that little cafe. It was like something out of a movie only we both looked like a pair of wet dogs. And that guy running the place was a total asshole. The only way he would let us stay was by buying rounds after rounds of coffee.

...I felt like we learned more about each other that day than ever. Maybe it was the coffee because we were both talking so fast. I told you about my dreams as an artist, traveling the world, and all that. At least, that's how I remembered it.

Walking home, when the rain came back, you got closer to me and started to sing just loud enough for me to hear even through the pour...and my heart was racing. But I couldn't blame that on the coffee.

I hope you're still singing way out there Y/N...I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss hearing you,
