Nico and Will are best friends at camp half blood ever since Nico kept showing up at the infirmary. Nico had shadow travelled till exhaustion many, many times. Every time he passed out, he would wake up in the infirmary.

He never knew how he got there, so he just assumed that someone carried him each time. Although it must have gotten annoying after a while for people to constantly have to carry him around.

That lead to him asking, "Hey Will?" Nico asked Will, his Medic. Every time he passed out, somehow, Will would always be the one ready to help him.

"Every time I wake up, I end up in here. Who carries me here every time?"

With, his back towards Nico, cleaning one of his tools says, "I do."

"Every time? Wouldn't you be busy in here at least once?" Nico questions.

"Another question, how is it that your always the one who helps me out in here after I over-shadow travel?"

"I guess it's just chance...? You shouldn't be asking me all these questions. You will hurt yourself." Will replied.

"Asking questions isn't going to give me brain damage."

Nico and Will have interacted in the infirmary many times, but Nico caught Will of guard with the questions.

Will and Nico were the same age, with Nico being younger by a few months.

"You should come to tonight's campfire. And don't give me the excuse that you don't know anyone, because, I'll be there." He turns around to look at Nico, smiling.

Nico sighs. "Fine. I'll go. But only because you're going to be there."

Will turned around again, hiding his exited face.

"Wow solace. Never seen you without your uniform on. I like your style." Nico said to Will. Walking with him to the fire.

"Oh really? Will asked looking away to hide his embarrassment face. "I like yours too"

"Come on. You don't have to say that just because I said I liked yours."

"No, really. I think it's cool. Its just I'm not good with complements"

It was crowded on the logs surrounding the fire. Nico hated physical contact, but for some reason, he didn't mind Will as much.

Will had politely tried to make more room for Nico on Nico's other side by pulling him closer, which made Nico tense. But then Nico reminded himself who was beside him, and loosened up a bit.

Their legs and shoulders were pressed up against each other. Nico was really glad the fire made everyone's face red, because he was flushing hard.

Some time had passed and Nico looked over at Will. Nico thought about how pretty Will looked with the gleam of the fire in his face and the golden shimmer of the sun setting in his hair.

'Whoah.'

'Where did that come from? I thought Will was pretty? Were barely friends!'

"Nico?"

Nico snapped out of his craze.

"You just spaced out there... you ok? Are there to many people? You don't have to stay if I pushed you to-far past your comfort zone" Will looked down, ashamed he dragged Nico into something he hadn't wanted to do.
