summary
while most mermaids lived together in pods, isa fontaine preferred to travel solo. in fact, it's all she's really known. she was all too comfortable with land people to truly fit in with mermaids, and of course her tail set her apart from the land people.
after staying with the northern pod for a few months, isa decided on a change of scenery, and swam down to where she heard of the southern pod residing.
mako island.
while she didn't find the southern pod, she accidentally exposed herself to three land girls who had somehow managed to turn themselves into mermaids. after running into these girls yet again at her new land school, isa decides that she should teach them how to have fun the mermaid way.
