I've just seen that my story's number 1 heartstopper tag and I want to say thank you so much for all the support x

Y/N: For the love of god mum I'm getting up stop yelling!
I groan as I turn over in my bed and bury my face in my pillow. Todays the first day back after a painfully mediocre summer. To make matters worse I've been moved form groups because my school, Higgs, an all girls school, has merged with truham, an all boys school. This means now I'm in a completely different tutor with a bunch of people I've never even met AND they're mixed yeargroups. It doesn't make much of a difference now anyway I spose, i wouldn't have any friends in the form even if nothing had changed. My best friend Alice moved to the states over the summer and I've barely even heard from her since. So I'm going into this alone.

Y/N's mum: I MEAN IT Y/N ITS YOUR FIRST DAY BACK YOU CANT BE LATE!
Y/N: yesss... yes i cannnn...

She's right, to be fair. So with a sigh and a stretch I pull myself up out of bed and look outside at the morning sky, grey-ish blue with a few clouds dotted here and there. Standard English weather.

Y/N's mum: your breakfast is on the table, get yourself dressed and be down in five alright?
Y/N: alright mum... what did you do with my new tie?
Y/N's mum: it's hanging on your chair you blind girl

She laughs as she says this, personally, I don't see the funny side. My mum, angie, jokes a lot. She's a fun mum, I guess. But she does care about my grades and all that. I talk to her about everything that goes on in my life, which isn't a whole lot to be perfectly honest.
I put on my new truham-higgs uniform, look myself in the mirror, sigh at the way my thighs stretch the trousers a little, and my chest doesn't even push out the shirt. I've never liked the way I was built but it's just something I've grown used to. For the most part.

I bolt down the cereal mum left on the counter for me and gave my dog desmond a quick kiss on his wet nose- desmond is an extremely soppy black Labrador I've had more than half my life.

Y/N: bye mum! Love you!
Sarah: have a good day poppet I'll see you later!

The door shut la behind me with a small bang and click of locks and I begin to make my way down the street. I don't live far from school but it's far enough that on cold early autumn days like today I'm shivering by the time I reach the gates.
I walk past a group of boys making altogether too much noise for 8:30 on a Monday morning.

Boy: oi Harry what form you in?
Harry: mate I don't even know
Boy: what about you Nick? You with Imogen?

I didn't catch the rest of the conversation as by that point the Bell had gone and I started to make my way through the corridors, suddenly aware I had absolutely no idea where my tutor room was.

Y/N: hi, sorry, you don't happen to know where room b25 is do you? My forms in there and I'm totally lost

The boy had dark curly hair and a skinny stature, but he looked like the nicest option out of everyone standing in the hall.

Boy: oh yeah I'm meant to be heading there as well, I guess that means we're in the same form then... I think it's this way

He says pointing down the hall

Y/N: thank you so much you're a lifesaver... erm?

Boy: Charlie. Charlie spring.

Y/N: nice to meet you charlie, I'm Y/N.
