I come home from school that night, buzzing with anticipation for tomorrow morning. I check my phone and I see a few new messages from the group and one from nick
I open the groups messages first, only to see a lengthy rant about how romance is dead from Charlie, followed by elle and tao telling him
something along the lines of 'get a grip'
I open nicks message and instantly blush
Nick: you looked beautiful today
Y/N: thank you :) you're so sweet
Nick: I'm not sweet just honest ❤️
Oh. My. God.
He sent a hearttttt
Y/N: awww thanks ❤️
Nick: cant wait to see you tomorrow
Y/N: Im so excited!
The evening flies by in a blur of happy conversation and eventually I decide I should get some sleep before I see nick tomorrow
Angie: Y/N!!! You're gonna be late to see Nick!
Y/N: crap what time is it??
Angie: 10:30!
Y/N: oh god
I jump out of bed and change into the first clothes I can find (leggings and an old shirt) so much for impressing nick
I decide that makeup isn't going to be an option, so I run a brush through my hair and sprint to the bathroom to brush my teeth, can't have smelly breath
I don't have time for breakfast as it's a ten minute walk to where Nick and I are meeting
I put Desmond's lead on, wave goodbye to mum, and stumble out the door
I text nick
'On my way'
Nick responds
'See you soon!'
I relax a bit as i realise I'm approaching the spot me and nick agreed to meet, with 3 minutes spare
Sitting down on a bench I begin to grow conscious of my outfit and shift around nervously, attempting to hide how unflattering these leggings are on my thighs
Nick: are you ok?
Jumping a little I look up, but relax when i see nicks smile above me
Y/N: yeah yeah I'm fine
I smile at nick then allow myself to be captivated by the panting dog sat patiently beside his left leg
Y/N: and youuu must be Nellie?
Nick: and this must be Desmond?
I smile and nod, loosening Desmond's lead enough for him to canter over to nick and lick him hello
Nick laughs and scratches Desmond's ears
Nick: hi Desmond! Ur so cuteee
I kneel down on the Same level as nick and stroke nellies head
She tilts it sideways in a questioning sort of way then sticks her tongue out and plants a wet kiss on my nose
I laugh and fall back as she jumps on top of me, licking me
