But before tao can finish his sentence I've twisted my torso to face the pavement and I'm met with a sight that makes me feel sick to the stomach, even though it shouldn't
Y/N: oh...
There, on the pavement stands nick. And he has that smile on his face that I fell for. But he's not smiling at me.
Imogen: oh my god Nick you're so funny
Nick: shut up I am not
Charlie: I'm so sorry y/n...
Elle: he didn't deserve you hun
We watch as the girl I can only assume to be Imogen leans on his shoulder and puts her arm around him
Tao: I'm gonna kill him.
Tao says this with just a bit too much aggression. Nick turns around
Nick: oh... hi guys
Nick looks at me and I can feel my eyes start to glaze over with tears, which is stupid, we barely know eachother, but it hurts.
Charlie: come on y/n... let's go...
Nick: wait guys
Charlie and Elle grab one of my hands each and begin to walk me away
Tao: are you ok y/n? He looks at me and sees the tear escape from my eye
Isaac must have seen it to because next thing I know I'm in a huge group hug sobbing my eyes out
Y/N: Im so sorry I know this is so stupid and I barely know him but I thought... I don't know what I thought
Isaac: hey it's ok, you liked him and he screwed you over, you're allowed to be upset
Tao: I can't believe him. Making y/n fall in love with him then just going on a date with some stupid pick me girl
Elle: I never liked her anyway
Charlie: you still have us y/n, do you wanna have a move night with all of us tonight to forget about it?
Tao: we can go round mine, my mums Great in these situations
Y/N: I think a movie nights exactly what I need, let me just text my mum and ask her
I bring out my phone, my hands shaking a little and message my mum about what's happened
Her response:
'Oh sweetheart I'm so sorry to hear that, it's so nasty when that happens but I'm glad you made some new friends, of course you can go around for a film night, but could you be back home by ten please x'
Y/N: i can come but I have to be home by ten
Elle: that's fine, my mum will want me home too probably
Charlie: yeah and mine
Isaac: same
Tao: so it's settled, if we have until ten, that's enough time for two movies and pizza?
We all agree and begin to walk to taos house and begin the discussion on what to watch
Tao: LADYBIRD
Elle: CLUELESS

Charlie drops back a little and indicates I do the same
Charlie: you're gonna be ok y/n, I promise
