Letting Go

In a realm where trust can be deceive,
You hold a belief that's not naïve.
You see the good side that people should embrace,
But when they fail to reciprocate, it's time to retrace.

If indifference replaced cares gentle touch,
And love's sighs are absent, an ache becomes much.
Though it hurts deeply, take a leap, be fast,
Leave him behind, let the past become the past.

Initial pain may consume your heart,
But trust my words, a brighter day will start.
For if it didn't work, it's not your blame to bear,
Release the burden, free yourself from despair.

This is my perspective, my way to perceive,
The world itself, with its tangled webs we weave.
You're not a fool, for you hold truth withing,
Believing in goodness, where true love can begin.
