Social Anxiety

Within a crowd
The voices sound so loud
Hammering against my ears
As I am on the verge of tears

I feel as I'd their Staring me down
Mocking me as if I'm a clown
Their eyes judgemental
Picking me apart as it rips at my heart

I feel my hands shaking
My breaths quaking
I keep my head down
And try not to make a sound

I bump into someone and apologize
Although it's a lie
They should have seen me

I feel as if the gathering is a sea
A sea full of sharks and hawks
I hear non existent insults

I am scared
I am anxious
Being alone is my sanction
