Chapter 5.1

[Kaveh's PoV]

As soon as he stepped inside the room, our eyes immediately met.

His eyes were flashing green from the elemental powers that he's unleashing.

"Hands off." he said in a cold voice, heavily breathing

I quickly wiped away my tears and take a gulp to clear my throat.

I don't want to look pathetic.

He's wearing his usual outfit except that it's almost ragged, splashes of blood could be seen on it as well on the visible part of his skin. I couldn't tell if it's his blood or from the people he knocked down. His left hand is carrying his sword that's pointed below, dripping also droplets of blood on the floor

He's the one who looks pathetic.

"Oh, It seemed like we have an uninvited guest..." Dottore finally let go of me and turned to face him

I leaned my back on the wall for support. My arm is hurting from his grip earlier and my legs lose its energy to stand up from losing balance

Even though he's now facing The Doctor, I could still feel his gaze focused on me

"I am taking him back." he looks pathetic but he sounded so cool when he said those words

Damn.

Why am I having this kind of thought in this situation?

"Oh, really? But he agreed to come with me to Snezhnaya though... Isn't that right, Kaveh?" he stands close in front of me, not letting Haitham find an opening to get me

I didn't make any response.

I was just staring at Haitham.

It still didn't occur to me that he's literally here and the fact that he's here for me

How ironic to think that just minutes ago, I was a scaredy-cat because I thought I was done for

"As if you can handle that man living under the same roof with you. Even I was having a hard time dealing with his temper" he amusingly said

"What the fuck?!" I shouted, I suddenly felt like my strength have regained in me just by hearing what he said

"Haha, see?" he annoyingly smirked

He's literally making fun of me in this situation?

Forget those silly thoughts earlier, I hate this man!

"I'm up to no good, either... Well, if I find him annoying, I'll just kill him. That's it. Who says I'm gonna deal with his silly temperament?"

Haitham's smug face faded.

Dottore's words remind me of the danger of this situation now.

"Anyways, I am literally in a rush so if you really want to save this man, then see you at my homeland" he grabbed my arm again to stand me up and dragged me towards the door

When we were about to walk past Haitham, I felt his hand grabbed my other arm

Now, I look pathetic having my arms being grabbed by two men.

"Let go." Haitham pointed his sword at Dottore's face

"Oh, do you really think you could win a fight with me?"

I haven't seen Dottore fight but if he's ranked 2nd in Fatui Harbinger, he must be strong, right?

On the contrary, I couldn't really say that Haitham is physically strong since his job only revolves around investigating and resolving the aftermaths of the incidents. Cyno is the one who's dealing with the combat
